Starring Ayane Sakura! Shonen Jump +"'s gal romantic comedy "Dosanko gal wa nara menkoi" will be adapted into a TV anime!

A TV anime adaptation of the popular manga "Dosanko Gyaru wa Namara Menkoi" has been announced.

Based on the manga by Kai Ishikada, which has been viewed more than 120 million times on "Shonen Jump +".

Tsubasa, a high school student who moves to Kitami City in Hokkaido, meets a gal, Minami Fuyuki, at a bus stop. It is a romantic romantic comedy about a "very charming gal" (gyaru) with fresh legs even in sub-zero temperatures, close proximity, and a strong dialect (......).

The "Dosanko gyaru wa namara menkoi" will be adapted into a TV anime in 2023. Comments from Ayane Sakura, who plays the heroine Minami Fuyuki, have also arrived.

Q1: What is your impression of this work?
It is a manga about adolescence in the middle of a hot love and friendship story set in the cold region of Hokkaido. It was full of developments that made me feel embarrassed when I read it.
The Michi-no-kosatsu gals take turns being replaced by other Michi-no-kosatsu gals, satisfying various needs and memories of youth that are lacking.
I am looking forward to seeing how much of that will be expressed in the anime.

Q2: What is your impression of the character you play and your enthusiasm for the role?
I felt that she is a gal with a bright and positive air that engages those around her, and that just watching her is a tonic for the body.
I am not accustomed to using gyaru terms in my daily life, so I would like to learn a lot of gyaru terms before the recording session and do my best to play the role of Minami Fuyuki as if it were a common language.
