The cast playing the characters has been announced for the movie "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK," which is scheduled for a December 3 (Sat.) roadshow. Seat reservation tickets will be available for purchase from November 5.

SLAM DUNK" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1990 to 1996, and has been adapted into TV anime, theater anime, and video games. It is a milestone in basketball manga, with many boys and girls taking up basketball all over Japan, and a scholarship program was established. Casting of 5 members of Shohoku has been decided! Kou Kimura to play Hanamichi Sakuragi

Today, November 4 (Fri.) at 20:00, "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK New Information Release Special Program" will be distributed. There, five members of the Shohoku team were revealed.

Sogo Nakamura plays PG (point guard) Ryota Miyagi, Jun Kasama plays SG (shooting guard) Hisashi Mitsui, Shinichiro Kamio plays SF (small forward) Kaede Nagarekawa, and Subaru Kimura plays PF (power forward) Hanamichi Sakuragi. Kenta Miyake plays Goken Akagi, the captain of the Shohoku team and the C (center).

When I was a student, I read SLAM DUNK for the first time and was so moved by it that I have read it many times since then whenever I needed a push. When I heard about the audition, I couldn't help but say, "Oh my God! I knew I mustn't have any regrets, so I read the manga again and gave it my all. I was really happy when I heard that I had passed. I will never forget it.

After receiving the script, I felt even more pressure to prepare. I was thinking too much and was about to get stuck, but on the first day of recording, Director Inoue said to me, "I think the atmosphere in which you are speaking now is exactly the way I imagined Ryota to be. I was able to unburden my shoulders and put everything I could into the role. The postrecording was a very luxurious time, and I worked with Director Inoue to record every word with great attention to detail, so I hope you enjoy every second of it. I was so happy to be able to see the work that colored my youth and changed my life again, but I never dreamed that I would be able to play the role. I never dreamed that I would be able to play the role of Mitsui, who can make three-pointers, is cool, and is a hard worker. I started playing basketball because I admired Mitsui. He has always been the man of my dreams. I was fortunate that my voice, tone, and breath were chosen by Director Inoue to be the voice of Mitsui. You really never know what will happen in life.

During postrecording, I played the role with gusto, remembering that feeling of basketball when your lungs feel like they are about to explode. Each and every one of us involved in this work worked hard and struggled to create this work. As a big fan of "SLAM DUNK," I am looking forward to the release of the movie as much as you are! ［Shinichiro Kamio as Kaede Ryukawa

I am Shinichiro Kamio, the voice of Kaede Nagarekawa in "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK". I am very happy to be able to participate in "SLAM DUNK", which is in the middle of adolescence, and in the year 2022, with the title "THE FIRST". When I heard that I had been accepted, I was so happy, so nervous and excited that I thought I was going to lose control. But when I got the script in my hands, I was so excited to be a part of such a hot story! I was so excited that I was able to convert the pressure into enthusiasm.

During postrecording, I worked closely with Director Inoue to find the right balance between the sense of fatigue and Nagarekawa's unique emotional outbursts during the flow of the game. I was allowed to try as many times as I wanted until I was satisfied with my performance, so I think I was able to mix and mingle with Ryukawa.

And I myself was moved every time I saw the video that was being brushed up. I was very moved by the staff's step-by-step and passionate work on each part, and I was able to experience firsthand the wonderful work they did. I hope you will enjoy the new "SLAM DUNK" with a clean slate.

When I heard that I had been accepted, I thought to myself, "Seriously? I can play Hanamichi? It's not a bad joke, is it? I remember I was confused but happy. Such joy was short-lived, and I felt pressure all at once. It is a very popular work, and I wondered how it would be received by the fans who would inevitably watch it. There was a possibility that they might not accept it, and I was preparing while facing such fears.

We did many postrecording sessions over a long period of two years, and had many discussions with director Inoue, and together we created a flower path. I am very confident now that the lines, and by extension, the Hanamichi Sakuragi, were created during this intense period of time. I am sure that this will be "THE FIRST" experience for everyone who will see it. We are proud to present you "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" that we have put our hearts and souls into.

Born in Germany. His representative works include "Doraemon" as Gian and Takeshi Goda, and "Jujutsu Kaisen" as Aoi Todo. In addition to voice acting, he is active as an MC for "Ohasuta" (TV Tokyo), a musician, and the leader of the genius theater company Bakabacca.

I was very surprised to see the new work in motion, as I had been drawn into the world of this work since I saw the spread of Hanamichi trying to dunk in the first episode. I was so surprised to see the new work in motion that I was determined to grab hold of the sky and audition for the part, so when I got the call that I had passed the audition, I was stunned.

The director had a clear image of the sound in his mind, even for a single breath, so I repeatedly tried to reach that image. He never compromised and stayed with me over and over again until we were both satisfied. It was a very precious time for me to directly feel a part of the director's passion. It was like having a training camp for club activities.

I feel that "THE FIRST SLAM DUNK" is a work that director Inoue "wants to present in this time" that exceeds all imaginations. Like a basketball game, it will be hard to predict how it will turn out or what kind of chain reaction it will set off, but I hope you will enjoy it with us. I hope you will enjoy it with us!
