Animate Akihabara, a specialty store for anime, comics, and games, has started its renewal plan!　It will be divided into two buildings, No. 1 and No. 2, and "Only Shop" and "Glatte" will be newly opened.

Animate" is a specialty store for anime, comics, and games with stores all over Japan. The Akihabara store opened on December 20, 1997. The "Animate Akihabara Main Building" will be renamed "Animate Akihabara" and will consist of two buildings, Building No. 1 and Building No. 2. The current store is in Building 1, and the new Building 2 is scheduled to open on December 9, 2022 (Fri.) The second store is the former site of "Sword Dance STORE AKIHABARA," which was in operation until October 23 (Sun.).

The newly opened No. 2 building will be located from the first basement floor to the seventh floor, with "Animate Cafe Glatte Akihabara" on the second floor and "Only Shop" on the sixth and seventh floors. The "Animate Cafe Glatte Akihabara" will sell glattes and icing cookies with characters printed on the cream above the drinks, and will be the first Glatte store in the Akihabara area. The first collaborations will include the TV anime "Akiba Meizu Sensou", "Ikemen Sengoku◆Toki wo Kakeru Koi" General Election Sengoku Warlord Hospitality, "Take Shobo Bono Fes", "Oji wa Usagi Desuka? and other collaborations with numerous anime works are scheduled. In addition, the "Only Shop" will exhibit various popular works and sell products.
