\"Shakugan no Shana" 20th Anniversary / Ukiyoe woodblock print and figure of "Shana" in Japanese costume using a newly drawn illustration will be on sale!

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of "Shakugan no Shana," an ukiyoe woodblock print of "Shana" in Japanese costume, newly illustrated by the original illustrator Ito Noizi, will be released and made into a figure.

KADOKAWA will release a limited edition of 100 ukiyoe woodblock prints of Shana in kimono by Ito Noizi, the original illustrator of the popular Dengeki Bunko novel "Shakugan no Shana" (written by Takahashi Yashichiro), which celebrated its 20th anniversary on December 1, 2022. The first 100 copies will be available for pre-order starting Thursday, December 1, 2022. It will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis at Dengeki-ya, which has been transferred to the Kadokawa Store.

A figure based on the newly drawn illustration is also in the planning stage! The next news is scheduled for late February 2023. Don't miss it!

Shana Manjushaka Kimono Ver. 1/7 Scale Figure to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of "Shakugan no Shana

The heroine Shana from "Shakugan no Shana", which celebrated the 20th anniversary of the publication of the original work by Dengeki Kogyo, has been sculpted in a manjushaka kimono!

The figure is based on an illustration drawn by Ito Noizi, and is currently under planning with a dignified appearance! This figure will be made with great care, so don't miss out on further information!

The illustration is newly drawn by Ito Noizi, the illustrator of the original novel.


The ukiyo-e woodblock prints are engraved by Saeko Nagai, a traditional craftsman who has received a medal of honor from the Japanese government for her achievements, and printed by Makoto Nakayama, vice director of the Ukiyo-e Woodblock Printing Technique Preservation Association and current Kyoto branch president.

(Certified by the Agency for Cultural Affairs as an Intangible Cultural Property, and by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as a traditional craftsman of Edo woodblock prints)
Born in Sumida-ku, Tokyo in 1983. Graduated from Kyoto Traditional Crafts College.
In 2010, he apprenticed himself as an engraver of Ukiyo-e woodblock prints under the Arakawa Ward's program for fostering successors of traditional craft techniques, and after 6 years of training, he became independent. He has been involved in the production of many popular modern Ukiyo-e works such as "Star Wars" and the Japanese anime "Naruto," as well as reprints of works by Hokusai, Hiroshige, and Kawase Tomoe Sui.
In January 2013, he demonstrated carving at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Tokyo Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
In November 2013, he demonstrated carving at the Victoria and Albert Museum in England.
In January 2014, he demonstrated carving at the Tokyo Metropolitan Traditional Crafts Exhibition at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Department Store.

Born in Kumamoto, Kyushu in 1958.
Graduated from Kyoto Seika University, Department of Fine Arts, majoring in Western painting.
Apprenticed to Sato Woodblock Print Studio and studied printing under printer Keizo Sato.
