Final Fantasy X" will be performed at IHI Stage Around Tokyo from March 4 (Sat) to April 12 (Wed), 2023. The first 360-degree rotating theater in Asia, it will offer a new experience through a groundbreaking fusion of stage, visuals, music, and lighting, and will also feature a giant screen to immerse the audience in the visual world of "Final Fantasy X".

The story of Teeda and Yuna, the heated Blitzball, the sending to another world, and the final battle are just a few of the highlights of the show, which will take you from the beginning of the story to its end.

Kikunosuke Onoe as Tida
This story is about characters whose hearts were scattered, but as the story progresses, they come to understand each other and grow through their conflicts. I thought that the characters' refusal to give up would send a strong message to the world of the Corona disaster and the world at war. The scene in the original story where Tida and Yuna have a heart-to-heart at Lake Macaragna is one of the most famous scenes in the film. For the underwater scene, we are planning to use a giant 8-meter screen instead of using real water as in the Kabuki play. Please look forward to seeing how it will be presented.

While playing the game, I felt that the more attractive the heroine Yuna is, the more attractive this work will be. I made some creative efforts to make the costumes attractive in a Kabuki-like way. When I showed the photo to my brother Hikosaburo (Bando), he scolded me for the small breasts, so I made some improvements (laughs). (Laughs.) First of all, I will do my best to reproduce the visuals as closely as possible.

Shido Nakamura as Aaron
It had been about 10 years since I had the opportunity to work with Kikunosuke, so I was surprised when I heard about the role, but I was happy that he was so enthusiastic about it. I was also very excited when I actually put on the sleeves of the costume, which I made while sharing my opinions with Kikunosuke. This time, we collaborated with the surrounding facilities and had a kitchen car, so I would be happy if you could enjoy the show as if you were at an amusement park.

Matsuya Onoe (Seymour)
When I was given the role of Seymour and put on the costume, I was elated and enjoyed the excitement of being on stage. It is a long play, so it would be great if you could enjoy it while immersing yourself in the world view.
I myself would like to take advantage of the special plan in collaboration with the surrounding facilities and go to the theater while receiving a welcome message from Kikunosuke-san (laughs).

The role of Kimari, which I play, is different from the others, and I am a little anxious about it, but I have a wonderful and energetic group of co-stars, so I will give it a lot of thought so that I don't lose the enthusiasm of everyone. As for Kimari's costume, Kikunosuke said it was a very good recreation of the character, and as for Matsuya, he said, "Who is that? (laugh). I am confident that I have succeeded in getting the Kabuki look and feel just right.

Umeeda Nakamura as Rourou: "I am very honored to be invited to play this role.
I am very honored to be invited to play the role of Loulou, and as a fan of the original, I thought I would like to help in any way I can. I have played the original game about 5 times, but when I played the role of Loulou this time, I focused only on Loulou and discovered something new. The game is loved all over the world, so I would like to play the role with respect to the original work so that I can support Tida and Yuna's journey as much as possible.

Hashinosuke Nakamura as Wakka
This is the first time I have played the game since I received the offer. I will try my best to be Wakka, have fun, be spontaneous, and enjoy myself with the help of my brothers so that I can be a force for this "New Kabuki Final Fantasy X." I hope that my friends and I will be able to play the role of "FF" characters. I have a friend who is a big "FF" fan, and he told me that the story is so good that he envies me for not knowing the story, so I am really looking forward to it.

Kichitaro Uemura as Luc
This work was released in 2001, and I was born in 2001, so I feel a strange connection to it. I think he is a very important character, so I want to take good care of him. I was worried about whether I would be able to dress like this, because Luc has a very revealing costume, but at the costume fitting, I wore hot pants and blond hair, which is different from my usual kabuki attire. I had never dyed my hair before in my life, so I am looking forward to the show.

At first I couldn't imagine that he would combine Kabuki, a traditional art form, and a game, the last of its kind in the art field, but he spoke passionately about it after having played and understood it thoroughly, so I was not worried about entrusting "Final Fantasy X" to him. As a member of the audience, I am excited to see how the game will turn out. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product with great anticipation.
