This year marks the 35th anniversary of the TV anime broadcast of "City Hunter," which was first serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" by Tsukasa Hojo in 1985, and the February 2019 release of "City Hunter Shinjuku Private Eyes" was a hit, grossing over 1.5 billion yen at the box office.

On April 8, 2022, 35 years after the release of the ending theme "Get Wild" by TM NETWORK, which is synonymous with "City Hunter," the production of a new film version was announced. When it was announced that Akira Kamiya and "Get Wild" would continue to play the role of Akira Saeba, many fans expressed their joy.

Saeba Akira, aka "City Hunter," fights against evil that cannot be judged by law. He is a top-notch marksman and the No. 1 sweeper in the underworld, but he is also an unparalleled lover of women.

The copy "The Final Chapter Begins." and "The battle to put an end to the past begins..." suggest that "City Hunter" is about to move toward its final battle.

At the bottom of the visual is the word "2023," which also reveals that the film will be released next year in 2023. The abbreviation "CH," which is used for the first time in an official visual, assures us that "City Hunter" will return to theaters with an overwhelming sense of scale that no one has ever seen before.
