Bayonetta Origins: Ceressa and the Lost Devil" is the origin of the Bayonetta series, an action game featuring intuitive controls. In this action game, players control both Ceressa and Cheshire at the same time to "solve puzzles" and "fight". By successfully combining their powers, the two players can carve out their own paths.

Game Introduction

The story goes back to the time when the invincibly strong witch "Bayonetta" was a frail little girl named "Ceressa".

The young witch met a ferocious demon in the Forbidden Forest.
Ceressa is the forbidden child born between a wise man who controls the light and a witch who controls the darkness. In order to save her mother from prison, she breaks her master's orders and ventures alone into the forbidden forest of Avalon.

As she makes her way along a steep path, eerie fairies suddenly appear and attack Ceressa. The young witch, in a tight spot, almost succeeds in summoning the demons that dwell in the magical world. The demon possesses a stuffed animal named "Cheshire," which she had been holding dear, and in the blink of an eye turns the fairies against her.

Seressa steps forward to save her captive mother and return the demon that possessed Cheshire to the demon world. Guided by a mysterious boy and a white wolf, she disappears as if absorbed into a fantastic light. What is waiting for her beyond that point?

Combining their powers to overcome various ordeals
This is an action game in which you control both Ceressa and Cheshire at the same time, solving riddles and fighting battles. By successfully combining their powers, the players will be able to open up new paths.

Riddle solving: Explore the forest and solve the traps
Various tricks are prepared in the forest. Use each player's unique skills to advance deeper into the forest, such as building bridges with Ceressa's magic or breaking obstacles with Cheshire's claws, depending on the situation.

Fighting: Conflict with the fairies who rule the forest
In the battle against the fairies, coordination between the two is also important. By having Ceressa use her magic to restrain them and Cheshire to attack them, they are on equal footing with powerful enemies who would be too much for one person.

Unique storybook-based production
Every aspect of this work is based on the motif of a picture book. The fully voiced movie scenes progress as if the pages of a picture book are being turned.
