Commemorative project for the broadcast of the spring 2023 anime "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi 2"! A quick look back at the first season where we spent time with beautiful girls in a different world with the versatile smartphone in hand! [PR project]

We've all wished we could start our lives over. I have always thought, "My life wasn't supposed to be like this," or "I could be great if I just put my mind to it. The genre that brings hope in response to such anguish is the "otherworldly" genre.

Nowadays, the world is full of "otherworldly stories," in which the characters not only become extremely strong and powerful, but also use their knowledge of the present world to open pharmacies, become spiders, and so on, changing their hands and products to entertain us in various ways.

Among such "otherworldly things," "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi no Tsunagari (The Other World is with Smartphone)," which drew a lot of attention for its particularly familiar setting in which people can walk around in a different world with a single gadget that any modern person would have in his or her hand, a smartphone. The second season of "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi" is scheduled to begin in April 2023!

In preparation for the start of the second season, we would like to take a look back at the first season episode by episode.

Looking back on the first season with the "smartphone," the universal item of our time.

What kind of circumstances will the main character be reincarnated in? What kind of gimmicks are prepared in the place where he is reincarnated? Or what kind of being will the protagonist be reincarnated into? ...... If "Isekai Mono" is a genre that entertains us with a variety of ideas, what kind of work is "Isekai wa Smartphone to tomoni"? What kind of work is "Isekai wa Smartphone to tomoni"?

Will the "smart phone" of the title play an active role in another world? It is true that smartphones are indispensable gadgets for modern people, but in the first place, there are no radio waves or power sources in other worlds (as they should be). So what in the world would we do with them? But then, God does something about it. The batteries can be recharged by magic power, and the map is updated for the other world. And God is so great that he can even access sites in his own world! Almighty! How convenient.

Nowadays, smartphones are commonplace in this world. Just a few years ago, it would have been extremely difficult to reach a destination just by typing in an address, but now smartphones offer detailed routes and guidance. Come to think of it, the smartphone is the almighty ......, perhaps the god of our time.

So, in conclusion, "Another World with Smartphones." is not a work that talks about the greatness of smartphones and shows their omnipotence. Although smartphones certainly play an active role, the charm of this work can be summed up in one word: it is the "strongest harem anime".

The girls are just adorable! Those girls will pamper you without any doubts! So, from here on out, we'll be looking at "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi no Tomodachi. I would like to talk about "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi" from the first episode, paying attention to the activities of the smart phone, which is also the title of the anime.

Episode 1: Awakening and Another World.

Episode 1 opens with an episode in which the main character Fuyuyoru Mochizuki (CV: Katsumi Fukuhara), who died due to a mistake by God, is brought back to life in another world to start his life over again. Fuyuyoru is told that he can have one wish fulfilled to atone for his sins, and he tells God that he wants to take his smartphone with him. Incidentally, Fuyuyoru's abilities have all been raised by God, so his body cannot die easily. Or rather, he becomes the strongest, to put it mildly.

Then, an encounter with the heroine who was being teased by hoodlums occurs, an event that is always present when it comes to otherworldly objects. The twin girls, Else Sileska (cv. Marie Uchida) and Linse Sileska (cv. Yui Fukuo), are quickly rescued, become friends, and form a party to fulfill requests at the guild. Moreover, when the two teach her magic, Fuyuyoru turns out to have a tremendous talent for magic, being able to use all the attributes. Hmmm, he is the strongest.

Episode 2 - First Trip and Samurai.

In the second episode, Fuyuyoru turns out to have a cheat ability to activate all of the unique magic called "non-attribute magic" as long as he knows the effects.

First, he helps a samurai girl, Yae Kokonoe (CV. Chika Akasaki), from Oedo in the eastern country of Yixian, and they travel together. On the way, she rescues royalty Duchess Susie Ernea Oltrinde (CV. Nanami Yamashita), who was being attacked by bandits, and is asked to escort her to the royal capital. Fuyunya, who has been able to relate to the royal family here, uses her overly powerful powers to help others, such as curing Sue's mother Ellen's blind eye with the non-attribute magic "Recovery". At some point, Yae also joins the group for training, and the four of them continue their journey together. Fuyuyoru is a perfect human being.

Episode 3 Shogi Board and Underground Ruins.

Fuyuyoh continues to help people in the third episode. He guides Alma (CV. Honoka Inoue), a girl who has been separated from her sister, to her sister Oliga (CV. Kikuko Inoue) using the map function on her smartphone (*This was also talked about as a father-son collaboration!) . There is nothing more useful in the real world than a map application, and this work is unique in that it combines that with magic to great effect.

Fuyuyoru and his friends are again fulfilling the guild's requests. They discover underground ruins on their way to fulfill the request, but there they awaken a crystal demon. Fuyuyoru and his friends are confronted with a powerful enemy that absorbs magical power, but they succeed in fighting it off by making full use of non-attribute magic.

Fuyuyoru records the letters on the broken ruins with the camera function of his smartphone. The camera function is also useful in other worlds. In this episode, the functions of the smartphone are put to full use.

Episode 4 Engagement and Push-in.

In episode 4, Fuyuyoru and his friends get caught up in a succession struggle between the royal families they have become friends with. When the king is poisoned and nearly dies, Fuyuyoru easily heals him with her attribute magic, "Recovery. They also find the real culprit who targeted the king and easily solve the case.

This wins the heart of Princess Yumina (CV. Marika Takano/Susi's cousin), and they suddenly become engaged. Here comes a powerful heroine!

Incidentally, Yumina is a talented girl who possesses the "Ganbaku no Mahou no Gan" (magic eye of detection) and has the power to see through people's true nature, and can also use summoning magic. When she teaches Fuyuyoru summoning magic, he suddenly summons a divine beast and makes a contract with it, making her a truly extraordinary heroine.

In addition, the divine beast Kohaku (CV. Yuki Kaita) has become a smaller mascot this time around.

Fuyuyoru now has four cute girls as followers. Fuyuyoru is now completely on the road to becoming a harem anime.

Episode 5: Slime Castle, and a New Feature.

In episode 5, the girls go to exterminate the slime that they don't like. Fuyuyoru secretly looks forward to the classic event that has been handed down since the Showa era, in which clothes melt when talking about slime. And then, the girls actually have their clothes melted, which is a romantic (?) scene filled with men's romance. Part A is a must-see.

The mother of the lost girl is searched for by combining the map function of the smartphone and the non-attribute magic "Search. This function is revealed here to be able to search for people as long as they are on the map.

Part B is an episode in which Lindsey is training in magic and Erza is embarrassed by her cute clothes.

Episode 6 Moving, and a Dragon.

Fuyunya is given a large mansion in exchange for a title and moves in with the heroines.

I love all four of them equally and consider them like family. I love all four of them equally and think of them like family, so I have no problem (living with them). By this point, you will realize that this is not a story about accomplishing something in another world, but rather a story about simply enjoying life in another world.

Fuyunya goes to the Kingdom of Mismido at the request of Duke Ortrinde, Sucy's father. On the way there, he is attacked by bandits, but he manages to catch the location of the bandits with his smartphone and kill them through the phone. The smartphone is too versatile.

On the way, they also confront a dragon, the royal monster of the other world, but Fuyuyoru easily defeats it.

By this time, the four heroines had come to enjoy Fuyoyo's natural charm, and they began to play rock-paper-scissors to decide who would get to fall on their knees when Fuyoyo was tired. In many ways, Chapter 6 was a turning point in the story.

Episode 7 The Land of the Beastmen, and the Watchers.

Fuyuyoru and his friends, who continue to be warriors in another world today, arrive in Berge, the royal capital of Mismid, the land of the beastmen, and are granted an audience with King Jamka. At the palace, they meet the self-proclaimed 612-year-old chief of the fairy tribe, Leanne (CV. Uesaka Sumire).

There, Fuyuyoru is shown a non-attribute magic "program" that can move inorganic objects, which he easily copies. Using this nonattribute magic and the knowledge she gained from her smartphone, she creates a gun that no one can touch anymore. The combination of a smartphone, the ultimate convenience item, and nonattribute magic is an amazing feat, but the fact that it is so simple and unobtrusive is most interesting, since everything is solved right at hand.

Episode 8 Daily Life, and Then to Yixing.

The reason I went to Mismid was to be able to activate the non-attribute magic "Gate" (the magic that says that once you go to a place, you can travel there). So, the group uses the "gate" to easily return home after the trip.

After returning home, they once again begin their peaceful life in the mansion. They rescue an orphan girl who was pickpocketing in the royal city of Belfast and hire her as a maid, and help Oliga and Rion (CV. Souma Saito) in their love affair. ...... Then Lean comes to visit, wanting to ask him about the crystal monster he defeated earlier. She says that the monster that attacked the village of Mismido is similar to the crystal monster, and that its true identity is the crystal life form Fraise.

Fuyuyoru learns from Lean that by using the non-attribute magic "Gate" and the non-attribute magic "Recall," which can read a person's mind, he can fly to places where others have been before. Instantly, of course.

Non-attribute magic ...... is too versatile.

Episode 9 Oedo and the Treasure of Immortality.

Episode 9 takes place in the Japanese castle town of Oedo in the Tokugawa family's Tai territory. It is a world that looks exactly like Japan from where to where.

The group hears that Yae's father and brother have gone with Ieyasu to the battlefield against the Takeda forces. They are told that they are outnumbered in the battle, so they go to help them for the time being. Fuyunya, who saves people she has been involved with with her tremendous power from the outset without thinking too deeply about it, is so refreshing. The mastermind behind the use of the "Treasure of Immortality," a powerful magical artifact of an ancient civilization, to give Takeda's soldiers the power of death and to control even the dead Shingen Takeda, was Kansuke Yamamoto.

However, Fuyuyoru easily defeated him. The artifact is also extracted and destroyed. Even the battle development is now treated as an afterthought!

Episode 10 The Sea and Vacation.

In episode 10, they go to the sea, where ruins are said to be located! The story takes an unexpected turn as everyone changes into swimsuits and enjoys their vacation in Yixing!

The most powerful swimsuit episode was the one in which everyone was brought together using the "Gate" to enjoy the swimsuits of more than 10 beautiful women in total.

In the midst of all this, Fuyuyoru explores the ancient ruins at the bottom of the sea. This time, the highlight is a mascot showdown between Amber and Paula, a stuffed animal that Lean "programmed" to move (to see who is cuter). In order to dive further into the sea, they make a contract with summoners Kuroyo & Coral (CV. Kazunari Futamata & Nasuko Matsui). This one also became a mascot like Amber, and the battle became even more chaotic. ......

Fuyuyoru arrives at the undersea ruins using the power of Kuroyoh & Coral. Standing in the transporter camp at the ruins, he is transported to the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. There she meets the caretaker, Francesca (CV. Rumi Okubo), who for some reason is a girl without underwear (but wearing panties).

Episode 11 Pantsies, and the Hanging Garden.

Fuyuyoru meets Francesca in the Hanging Garden, who recognizes him as a conformist and gives him the garden. This is another abrupt turn of events!

What is the logic behind the fact that he was not chosen for the transfer because of his ability, but because he allowed Francesca to wear a skirt with her panties on. ......

According to Lean, the Babylon Hanging Gardens are a legacy of the ancient super-civilization of Parthenos, which created various magic and "artifacts". Here, Francesca's misleading statement caused the wife fiasco to erupt again. Finally, all the members except Yumina decided to clarify their position on "who is the wife" .......

Yumina had proposed from the beginning that they all become Fuyunya's wives, but the three members had not yet accepted this proposal. But when they see Fuyunya, who is the manager of the hanging garden and gets kissed by Francesca to ingest her genes, they finally make up their minds. The first to make a move is the meek Lindsey. She boldly confesses her love to Fuyuyoru and kisses him.

Episode 12: A Decision, and a Smart Phone.

This is finally the final episode of the first season. The climax of the story is not about confronting a powerful enemy or saving the world. It was about the heroines confirming their feelings for Fuyuyoru and getting engaged!

Fuyunya kisses her first fiancé, Yumina, as well. From there, Linze becomes the second fiancée, followed by Erza and Yae, who challenge Fuyunya to a duel, which she wins and asks him to make her his bride.

Fuyuyoru, who has been swept along and even accepted the engagement so far, declares to the four that he cannot marry yet, but will marry when he is ready to take on everyone else's life. By the way, to spoil a bit of the original story, he will eventually have nine wives. ...... (*Polygamy is allowed in this world).

Due to a mistake by God, Fuyuyoru was forced to live a second life in another world, where he met girls one after another and became engaged to everyone "Isekai wa Smartphone tomo tomo ni Tsubasa." ....... The title says "Smartphone", but the activities of the smartphone are pretty plain! And Ende (CV. Yuma Uchida), who appeared in the OP in a suggestive way, made an appearance only in the C part of episode 12.

The second season is scheduled to start in April 2023, and it is not difficult to imagine that the number of wives will increase without question. I hear that there will be nine wives at the end of the second season, and above all, there are nine girls in the key visual of the second season.

What cute girls will be next? Lucia Leah Regulus (cv. Miyu Takagi), Hildegarde Minas Lestia (cv. Yu Serizawa), and Sakura (cv. Miyu Kubota) have already been introduced as characters on the official website, so I wonder what will make these girls fall for Fuyuyoru. We are already looking forward to the broadcast of "Isekai harem love comedy anime "Isekai wa Smartphone to tomoni 2".

After all, the first season had cute eye catches that appeared repeatedly, so we can look forward to that in the second season as well.
