The popular plastic model "Figure-rise Standard Sletta Mercury" from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury" is given a quick makeover!

In this fifth installment of "YU-GO's Character Modeling LABO," we take a look at the popular plastic model "Figure-rise Standard Sletta Mercury " from Bandai Spirits!

The critically acclaimed "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury" is currently in the final stages of its first season, and today we are looking forward to seeing the story progress far beyond our expectations every week.

When the previews and PVs were first released, we did not expect the story to turn out this way, but many fans may have been impacted from the very first episode.

The main character, Sletta Mercury, was also more likable than I had imagined, and I myself was hooked from the very first episode.

She is natural, goofy, and a comic relief. However, she is a kind girl with a strong core, honest, straightforward, and considerate of her mother and friends. ......

Sretta, such a charming character, has already been made into a plastic model. Let's start assembling the character kit, which became so popular that it was immediately sold out as soon as it appeared on store shelves!

YU-GO's Character Modeling LABO Vol. 5 "Figure-rise Standard Sletta Mercury

Here's what the box art looks like.

It's a tasteful package that matches the world of "The Witch of Mercury.

Let's open the box!

The contents of the box looks like this. The number of parts is modest and the structure is simple, so it looks like it can be assembled without stress. You can see that there are plenty of hand parts.

Sletta's hair, which has a complex shape, is also divided into small parts like this. You can assemble it like a puzzle, which is fun.

One tampo pre-printed face part is included. It is nice to have a face printed from the beginning.

In addition, water-transfer decals for the eyes and two exclusive face parts are provided. By combining these parts, Sletta's various facial expressions can be reproduced.

The kit also includes a halo of the same scale. The ears open and close in this size.

The markings on the collar and chest are reproduced with the included stickers. It has a high-class feel.

I assembled it immediately.

The uniform of the holder specification that has appeared since episode 4 has been faithfully reproduced.

The parts are small in number and designed to be simple and easy to assemble.

The unique hairstyle is also reproduced as shown. The hair has sharp edges and many small parts, so you need to be careful when handling it.

This is the degree of completion of a normal assembly!

It seems that the "list of things I want to do when I get the kit" will soon be full of detailing and modifications, but this time, I would like to proceed with "easy finishing that can be done in one day".

This is what it looks like when the halo is involved. It looks like it will have a lot of play value.

The gate marks are carefully removed one by one. It is a steady work, so it is hard work, but I will persevere as the degree of completion will vary depending on how much I do this.

The hems of the trousers are thick, so it will look better if you use a design knife, Fantec's "Carbide Scraper" or God Hand's "Kami Yasu" to make them thinner.

The main sanding for each part is done with "Kami Yasushi"; only No. 400 and No. 600 are used. Finally, the entire surface is rubbed with a melamine sponge to create a matte, subdued texture.

For the inside of the sleeves of the uniform jacket, airbrush GSI Creos "Red Gold" on the inside.

Even if some of the color sticks out, it can be removed with a sandpaper or melamine sponge since it is a molded color finish.

The mouth can be left as molded color, but you should paint it according to the setting materials. The tongue of another part should be painted pink. ......

Paint the mouth part with "Real Touch Marker Real Touch Red 1".

Use "Gundam Marker Smear Gray" to smear the whole body. Correct the parts that stick out by using "Kami Yasu" or melamine sponge.

For the gold lines on the cuffs, I used nail line tape from the 100-yen store "Celia.

The size is almost perfect and it makes a nice accent!

Cut the decals for the eyes with a design knife to the very edge of the margin. In doing so, use a new blade that is as sharp as possible.

For the final touch-up, makeup, use the actual cosmetic products used for makeup.

Pastels bought at Daiso, a 100-yen store, are ground into powder with sandpaper and used for makeup.

Repair sticks are very useful because they can be placed delicately on small areas.

Sletta Mercury, givebirth!"

So it is finished! As a finishing touch, the entire piece is coated with GSI Creos' "Water-based Premium Top Coat Glossy Spray".

The figure has a wide range of motion, so it can be posed in a variety of poses.

Playing with Halo.

Her sitting face is also kawaii ♡.

Her profile is also lovely.

She is playing with "Gandamu! Gandamu! Kibo no hikari- ♫", and posed for the Gundam PV "Move and be safe! Gundam Inc.

Oma-Ke*.

I got the idea from the "Aerial" collaboration package of sweets, so I did it.

It was made by cutting out from the package.

How did you like it?

The theme this time was "easy finishing that can be completed in one day," but I think everyone has his or her own favorite way of doing each task such as filing and finishing makeup. As the story of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury" progresses, we will see many different Slettas, so please try to complete the Slettas in your own image!
