The Japanese dubbed version of the HBO original drama "THE LAST OF US" will be exclusively distributed on the video distribution service "U-NEXT" with one episode per week starting Monday, February 13, 2023. Information on the dubbed cast, including Koichi Yamadera and Megumi Ban, was announced today.

Based on the popular survival action game that was released exclusively for PlayStation(R)3 in 2013 and has won more than 200 game awards worldwide, the game series' creative director Neil Druckmann and "Chernobyl" (2019) THE LAST OF US, an HBO original drama co-written by Craig Mazin, who also wrote and executive produced The film is a spectacular drama about Joel and Ellie, played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who played Oberyn Martell and Liana Mormont, respectively, in "Game of Thrones," as they embark on a grueling journey in search of hope in an America where civilization has collapsed due to an infectious disease.

The Japanese dubbed version, starring Koichi Yamadera, Megumi Ban, and other members of the splendid cast from the game version, will begin streaming one episode per week on Monday, February 13!

The Japanese dubbed version currently in production features Koichi Yamadera as Joel, Megumi Ban as Ellie, Hiroki Takahashi as Tommy, Atsuko Tanaka as Tess, and Hiromi Park as Marlene, all voice actors who also played the same roles in the game version. It has been over 10 years since the first game was released in 2013.

The Japanese dubbed version of "THE LAST OF US" will be exclusively available on U-NEXT, one episode per week, from February 13, 2023 (Monday), the same day as the fifth episode of the subtitled version.

＜STORY＞
An outbreak of infectious disease caused by a parasitic fungus that infects the human body. Twenty years after the pandemic, civilization has collapsed in the U.S., and there is a struggle for power among the survivors. Joel, one of the survivors, is assigned by Marlene, the leader of "Firefly," as a courier to help an unidentified girl, Ellie, escape from the quarantined area. What starts out as a small task soon evolves into an epic journey as the two travel across the infected-infested U.S. in a desperate attempt to survive.
