On YouTube "Bandai Official Channel" / "TSUBURAYA IMAGINATION", an original web drama "Ultra Soft Vinyl World" (8 episodes) by Ultra Soft Vinyl series will start to be distributed worldwide on January 21, 2023 (Saturday) at 9:30 AM.

The Ultra Soft Vinyl series is a line of soft vinyl dolls of heroes and monsters from the Ultraman series that began sales in 1983. Currently, approximately 300 types of the popular series have been sold, and a total of more than 100 million units have been shipped worldwide.

Ultra Soft Vinyl World," which will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023, is an original web drama featuring stop-motion animation of the popular Ultra Soft Vinyl series, which has shipped more than 100 million units worldwide.
The series is a short, one-part drama that allows viewers to enjoy a variety of stories featuring life-giving soft vinyl dolls of Ultra Heroes and Monsters.

A total of eight episodes will be released one by one every Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. from January 21 (Sat) to March 11 (Sat), 2023.

<Synopsis
HARTO is a first grade boy who loves Ultraman.
He is always surrounded by many soft vinyl Ultraman figures, playing games and battles in his room.
One day, as Harto goes to sleep, Plasma Spark Tower suddenly appears and gives life to the soft vinyls in his toy box. Unbeknownst to Harto-kun, the soft vinyls begin to spin out various stories...

<Screenplay and series composition
A new story for "Ultra Soft Vinyl World" was created under the complete supervision of Tsuburaya Productions.
Junichiro Ashiki, who has been involved in many Ultraman series films and will become independent from Tsuburaya Productions in April 2022, will be in charge of the script and series composition for all episodes.
This work can be enjoyed by a wide range of viewers, from small children to adults who love Ultraman.

＜Video Production
The video production was handled by a team of Japan's leading stop-motion animators, led by video production company MagniFIKA. Animation director Takuro Oishi led the team, with animation by Shigeru Okada. Saori Watanabe is in charge of storyboarding the first episode.
The characters of each of the soft vinyl figures are well represented, with comical effects that take advantage of the limited range of motion that only soft vinyl can provide.
