Ram-chan from the TV animation "Urusei Yatsura" appears in a new TV commercial for Georgia! The "Georgia and Laugh" episode begins airing today!

A collaboration campaign between the coffee brand "Georgia" and the TV anime "Urusei Yatsura" will be held nationwide from today, January 23, 2023 (Monday).

In "Urusei Yatsura," Rumiko Takahashi's brilliant debut work, Ataru Moroboshi, the "most evil" high school student on earth, and Rum, a beautiful "devil girl" who has come down from outer space, meet. Everything begins with their encounter. Fearless, full of energy in love, yet somewhat sad... Ataru and Ram's boy-meets-girl love comedy is colored by a cast of characters from all over the galaxy.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of Shogakukan, selected episodes of the original story will be adapted into a completely new TV anime series to be broadcast on Fuji Television's "Noitamina" and other programs over a four-cour period. The first season began airing on October 13, 2022.

This is a completely new work that will be adapted into a four-cour anime. Directed by Hideya Takahashi and Yasuhiro Kimura of "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind" and animated by david production, which also produced "Flames of Fire".

A new TV commercial "Georgia de Atarucha" featuring Ram-chan from the TV anime "Urusei Yatsura" begins airing nationwide.
In the new commercial, Ram-chan, played by voice actress Uesaka Sumire, blasts a businessman who chooses a coffee at a convenience store, "Georgia or you'll get punished! The new commercial features a businessman choosing a coffee at a convenience store and is accompanied by a blistering electric shock. The new commercial features the innocent Rum-chan.

At a convenience store, Ram-chan suddenly appears in front of a businessman who is choosing a coffee. He is talking to him, saying, "When it comes to coffee, Georgia is the one! He is stunned by her sudden appearance. The businessman is stunned by her sudden appearance, but Ram-chan unleashes her usual blasts: "If it's not Georgia..." "You'll be punished! and unleashes his usual electric shocks.
When the screen switches to the next scene, the voiceover says, "Now I'm going to hit you with Georgia! Ram-chan introduces the lineup of the collaboration campaign.
Later, a businessman with a head full of lightning drinks "Georgia Japan Craftsman Black" as he leaves the convenience store, and he smiles happily, saying, "I love a single-minded person.

──What did you think of the recording of this commercial?
Ram-chan is usually in the world of animation, so it was refreshing to see her in live-action, especially with a businessman. Ram-chan is a character who changes her range of emotions in vivid ways, such as blitzes, and this was expressed in many ways in the short commercial, which I think made the commercial enjoyable for both those who saw Ram-chan for the first time and those who have always loved her. I also had a lot of fun during the recording.
（Basically, Ram-chan is a character who only uses electric shocks on the main character, Ataru Moroboshi, so it was refreshing to see her attacking someone other than Ataru with electric shocks. Also, I got the impression (in the anime) that Ram-chan is often in coffee shops, so I thought she likes coffee.

─ ─ Do you have a favorite "Georgia" product or a scene in which you usually drink it?
I personally like "Georgia Japan Craftsman" black and drink it often. It is refreshing and does not leave a bitter taste in my mouth, so it is a great refresher during recording sessions.

─ ─ Do you have a message for the general public about this campaign?
(When I heard about this project) I felt that the collaboration between "Urusei Yatsura" and "Georgia" was unexpected, but when I started acting, I felt that the combination of a familiar product and Ram-chan was a wonderful collaboration. I would be happy if many people drink "Georgia" coffee as a result of this project, and I hope that they will be interested in "Urusei Yatsura" as well.
