Netflix has announced its recommended anime lineup for February 2023.

In February, Netflix will exclusively distribute "MAKE MY DAY," a must-see for science fiction lovers, which is adapted from a story drawn by manga artist Yasuo Otagaki, and "Aggressive Retsuko Season 5," which is finally in its final season.

In addition, there will be an extra episode of the popular TV anime "Unemployed Tensei", unaired episodes and OVA of "Mundane Occupation De Sekai Saikyou", a feature on "Recommended Works Featuring Cats", and "Demon Slayer", a feature on "Recommended Works Featuring Demons".

MAKE MY DAY

A sci-fi action-survival anime centered around an original story drawn by Yasuo Otagaki, a manga artist who has gained overwhelming support for his grand-scale sci-fi works such as "MOONLIGHT MILE" and "Mobile Suit Gundam: Thunderbolt".

The setting is Coldfoot, a planet where the sky is filled with poisonous gas and the surface is covered with ice and snow. The reality of this planet, which claims to be a beautiful box garden with perfect order and control, is far from an ideal world. Prisoners have been taken to Coldfoot to mine the high-energy rare mineral "Sig" that is buried there.
One day, a cave-in occurs at the mine. When Jim, a part-time prison guard, is summoned to the site, he finds a never-before-seen living fossil sitting there, breathing in its sleep. ......?

The mecha design is by Shoji Kawamori, who has created numerous masterpieces including the "Macross" series, and Kiyotaka Oshiyama, who created the unique demon design for "DEVILMAN crybaby". CGI director Makoto Honda, who directed Katsuhiro Otomo's "SHORT PEACE: Farewell to Arms," is directing the film, and the CG animation production "5," which also includes director Honda, is in charge of character design.

Sanrio's original "Aggressive Retsuko," which has been exclusively distributed since 2018, is finally complete! This popular series depicts the daily life of "Retsuko," an office worker who relieves her resentment toward her boss, coworkers, and the world by singing death metal.

After quitting her job, Retsuko's co-worker Haida is evicted from the family-owned apartment she has been living in and experiences life in a nekafé (Internet cafe). ...... There, she meets a "shikabane" who seems to have given up on everything.
RYOKO starts living with him in order to save Haida. Then, a suspicious man claiming to be a member of the Diet comes to scout for Retsuko. In the final season, RYOKKO runs for election!
