Namco Bandai's "Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster" to be released on Switch in Summer 2023! Video and Screenshots Revealed

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster" will be released by Namco Bandai Entertainment in the summer of 2023 on Nintendo Switch. An announcement trailer and screenshots were also released.

Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster" is a remastering of "Baten Kaitos: Wings of the Unending and the Lost Sea" released in 2003 and "Baten Kaitos II: Wings of the Beginning and Tsugiko of the Gods" released in 2006, which were combined into one game. The game is easier to play with graphics that have evolved since those days and new features that aid in game progression.

The key visuals are newly drawn by the series' character designer, Ao Higure. The announcement trailer introduces the game's synopsis and world view.

Baten Kaitos II: Wings of Beginning and Heirs of the Gods
A beautiful lie and a dirty truth. Still, we will live.
The main character, Sagi, is a new recruit to the elite dark forces of the Imperial Alphard.
He and his partner Giro are accused of "assassinating the emperor" and are hunted by the empire.
At the same time, "deformed monsters" appear throughout the continent, plunging the entire continent into chaos.

Battles in Baten Kaitos are conducted through a unique battle system using Magnus.

In this title, background data during battles, character graphics, and part of the UI have been redrawn in HD. The aspect ratio of the entire game has been changed from 4:3 to 16:9 for a wider screen, in addition to allowing players to enjoy "Baten Kaitos" with greater clarity.

In addition, useful functions have been added to support game progression and make it easier to play!
