A TV anime adaptation of "Yakuya no Hitorigoto" has been decided. The teaser visual, project PV, and cast comments have been released.

Set in the medieval East, "Yakuya no Hitorigoto" (original story: Hinata Hinata / Hero Bunko) is a mystery-solving entertainment in which a "poison tester" solves various difficult cases that occur in the palace. The series has sold more than 21 million copies in total, and the comic version is also expanding its popularity.

It has now been decided that the series will be adapted into an animated TV series in 2023. Aoi Yuuki will play Mao Mao, a former apothecary who works in a back palace where rumors and intrigue abound.

The project PV, which was also released, foreshadows that Nekoneko will be involved in a major incident at the palace, triggered by the suspicious death of the emperor's sons.
