Animate Akihabara No. 1" relocated to the former site of "Comic Toranoana Akihabara Store A" next door and held its grand opening on April 28!

Animate Akihabara No. 1" will relocate to the former site of "Comic Toranoana Akihabara Store A" next door and is scheduled to have its grand opening on April 28 (Fri.).

Animate" is a specialty store for anime, comics, and games with stores all over Japan. The store in Akihabara opened on December 20, 1997, and has been visited by many people over the years as a sacred place for anime in the Akihabara area.

Recently, as part of the Animate Akihabara renewal plan, "Animate Akihabara No. 2 Building" will open on December 9, 2022 (Friday), and on April 28 (Friday), "Animate Akihabara No. 1 Building" will move next to No. 2 Building (the former site of "Comic Toranoana Akihabara Store A" which was closed in August 2022) and open its grand opening. The new building will be located next to Building 2 (the former site of "Comic Toranoana Akihabara Store A" which closed in August 2022).

The new "Building 1" will have 8 floors from B1F to 7F, with audio/visual games on the B1F, and popular anime works and popular character goods on the 1F to 6F. The 7th floor will be an "event space" where events such as autograph sessions and talk shows will be held, and together with Building 2, it will be a place where "fun" can be enjoyed all day long.

Prior to the grand opening, a "temporary store" will open on March 4 (Sat) at the location of Animate Akihabara No. 1, which is scheduled to be relocated.
