The main visual for "New Kabuki Final Fantasy X," which will be performed from March 4, and some illustrations by Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer for the game version, have been released.

Final Fantasy X" is one of the most popular titles in the FF series and tells the heartbreaking story of a boy and a girl who confront a great threat, Sin. The new kabuki production "Final Fantasy X" will be staged at IHI Stage Around Tokyo (Toyosu) from March 4 (Sat) to April 12 (Wed), 2023.

Main Visual

Some of the original illustrations that will be projected on a giant 8-meter screen before the opening of the first and second parts of the show have been unveiled.

The illustrations are of Teeda, Yuna, Wakka, Lulu, Luc, Aaron, and Kimari wearing the Kabuki costumes worn by the cast at the performance, and were specially drawn by Tetsuya Nomura, the character designer for the game version.

Photographs can be taken and will be included in the pamphlet. The illustrations are sure to be a precious memory, and we hope you will see them on the giant screen at the theater and in the pamphlet.

Profile of Tetsuya Nomura
Tetsuya Nomura joined Square (now Square Enix) in 1991. He has worked as a character designer, game designer, and director for the "Final Fantasy" series, as well as the "KINGDOM HEARTS" series, a collaboration with Disney. He also worked as a character designer for "FINAL FANTASY X".
His representative works include "Final Fantasy V-VIII, X, X-2, XIII, XV", "Parasite EVE" series, "KINGDOM HEARTS" series, "Final Fantasy VII" series, "The World Ends With You" series, "DissidiaFINAL FANTASY" series and many others.

<Story
Part 1 (Doors open 11:30, Concert begins 12:00)
Spira is a world where a wide variety of subhuman races live in addition to humans.
However, the people have always been in fear of death, for a thousand years ago, a monster called "Sin" suddenly appeared and repeatedly destroyed the world.
When a young boy named Tida wanders into Spira, he meets the lovely and stout-hearted summoner Yuna. Yuna has only one wish: to defeat Sin. To do so, she needs the "ultimate power" as a summoner.
At the same time, she meets her fellow travelers. Wakka, who lost his brother's life to Shin, Lulu, a black mage who was his brother's lover, Kimari, a boy from the mysterious Lonzo tribe, and Aaron, a friend of Tida's father. The truth of "Shin" comes to light through numerous battles and encounters.
However, standing in their way is Seymour, the chief of the Guado tribe. Seymour, a Guado tribal chieftain, attempts to use the "ultimate power" that Yuna is trying to obtain to lead Spira into a death spiral with the warped idea that "death" is the only way to save the world.
What will be the outcome of the battle between Tida and his friends?

Part 2 (Doors open 17:00, Concert begins 17:30)
The warped ambitions of Seymour, the chief of the Guado tribe, are driving Thida and her friends further and further into a corner.
Seymour kidnaps the summoner Yuna and plans a political marriage to take advantage of her. Unable to stand idly by and watch, the group rides to the wedding and confronts Seymour directly, but when they resist Seymour, who has earned the trust of the people of the world, they are stigmatized as traitors and forced to halt their journey.
Seeing Yuna in despair and in tears, Tida decides to protect her at all costs. The two, who had been attracted to each other since they first met, surrendered themselves to their secret love.
With renewed determination, they stand up to defeat "Shin" once again. But there are many shocks awaiting them.
What is the true identity of "Shin," the fate of Yuna, and the truth that awaits T-da?
