Mobile Suit Gundam: Witch of Mercury," the most popular anime of the moment, is scheduled to begin broadcasting on April 9, 2023. The event "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury EXPO" is being held at Shibuya Cast in Tokyo from March 10 (Fri.) to 12 (Sun.), 2023, to look back on Season 1, whose final episode caused a sensation, and to enjoy new products and videos of the long-awaited Season 2.

The venue, Shibuya Cast, is a complex facility where commercial facilities, offices, and residences coexist. The first floor and outdoor plaza are the venue for the "Mobile Suit Gundam: Witches of Mercury EXPO.

Even before the doors opened, a large number of fans rushed to the grand staircase and formed a long line! I got the impression that many of them were women in their teens and twenties.
In our interview at the beginning of the broadcast, it was mentioned that "The Witches of Mercury" was produced with the younger generation in mind, and it seems that the aim was right on target.

Outdoor exhibition with a playful spirit

Let's explore the exhibition hall.

The event was set up as a "Gundam Corporation," which appears in the movie "Gundam" and was commissioned by a company on Earth to plan and operate the event (......). The venue was decorated to look as if it had been handmade by students. The venue is decorated in the style of a handmade event created by students.

The hand-drawn "GUND-ARM Inc. All employees welcome visitors! This is a photo spot, so feel free to take pictures.

In the booth with a large holder mark, huge LED monitors surrounded the booth in three directions!

Here, visitors can enjoy a digest video of the Season 1 duel and a video of Season 2 in a presentation that only this monitor can provide.

A human-sized Gundam Aerial and a standing Gundam Aerial (refurbished type) are also on display.

Kitchen cars will also be on display! Drinks and soups inspired by the characters are on sale. In addition, each item comes with an original coaster at random.

If you go around to the back of the plaza, you will find Güell's camp! You have to look a little hard to find it, but it's a nice touch!

Coffee is also brewed!

The exhibition is in the form of comments written by the characters themselves, and they are well worth reading! It will be fun to read them while imagining the voices of the characters.

Many dioramas using Gunpla models are also on display. It could be a good reference for modifying your own Gunpla!
