MODEROID "Sol Sigma Gravion" Review Part 2] Combined with God Gravion, the Flame Emperor United God Sol Gravion comes to the stage! A review by voice actor Taiyuki!

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and a production period of one to two days! If you read this series, you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! Let's get started with the 73rd issue!

Voice Actor Yasuyuki Tai's Weekend Plastic Model Making Vol. 73 MODEROID Sol Sigma Gravion Part 2

In the last issue, we introduced each mecha and the merging sequence, and in this issue, we will thoroughly review the Sol Sigma Gravion, the model you have been waiting for!

First, let's take a closer look. Although the configuration of parts is generally the same as that of God Gravion, the design of each mechanism is different, giving it a tougher look.

Rear view. The body and the limbs are very well defined, and it looks like a "super robot! This is the body shape of a super robot.

The color scheme of the upper body is well reproduced thanks to the painted parts and stickers, including the mechanical parts inside the clear parts in the center of the chest.

The silhouette has changed significantly with the helmet, but the face is still the same as in Gran Σ.

As for the range of movement, the variable body of Gran Σ greatly restricts the movement of the shoulders. ......

Let's replace the movable body with a wrist that is more shape oriented.

Here is a comparison of the clenched fists. The right one is for the transformable body, and the left one is for the shape-oriented fist. The fist is one size larger.

Here is Grand Sigma with the upper body and wrists replaced. The angle of the shoulders can now be adjusted, giving the figure a slightly different appearance.

Some of the movable parts, such as the head and hip joints, are the same as the Gran Σ, so let's take a look at the movable range of the Sol Σ Gravion form.

Since the shoulders are now ball-jointed, the range of motion has been increased by far.

Since the shoulders are ball-jointed, they can swing back and forth.

The elbows are double-jointed, but can be bent to about 90 degrees by design.

The wrists are ball-jointed, so they are movable.

Actually, the knees can also be bent this deep, almost the same as in the Grand Sigma.

The ankle connection is a ball joint. The toes can be closed slightly downwards. The ground contact seems to be quite good.

Using the joint connection holes on the Grand Sigma, it is possible to display it in a floating state. I replaced the right hand with a flat hand.

It is regrettable that Sol Sigma Gravion did not appear in many scenes!

Reproduce "that famous scene" with God Gravion. In fact, if you had purchased MODEROID "Sol Sigma Gravion" from the Good Smile Company online store, you would have received a "wrist for shaking hands" to recreate this scene, but I could not get it this time! Still, it looks like it, doesn't it?

When holding the super heavy sword, remove the chest part. Both left and right weapon handles are included.

Sandman & Douga: "True!

Super Heavy Zan!"

Reproduce the scene from the anime. It was a bit difficult to make two robots hold one sword at the same time.

Also included in this kit is the mask that God-Gravion was wearing when he used the super heavy sword.

Of course, the super heavy sword can also be held by God-Gravion. Now you can recreate the heroic figure from the second half of the first season.

If the world were a better place, we might have seen a double "ergo end" like this.

Now, let's continue! Next, let's take a look at "Sol Gravion," with the Gran Sigma part replaced with Gran Kaiser! Sol-Gravion has been fighting in this form since the middle of the second season of the anime, and the Grand Sigma was used to power the St. Germain castle.

Now let's try to recreate the scene with a few pictures!

Solgravitonbringer, Flame aaaaap!

Sorgraviton Crusher punch!

Sol Graviton Cannon! Fire!"

The Graviton Cannon has two movable parts that allow it to swing up and down widely.

Sol Graviton Nova!

"Super-heavy sword!"

Super heavy zaaaan!"

Huh, ...... is cool. I'm sure we can do a lot more, but the rest is in your hands!

Combined a Godgravion Grandiva with an extra Grand Sigma. The color difference is the third moderoid "God Sigma Gravion" that was recently released, and this one looks different.

I will be posting a kit review of the "God Sigma Gravion" at a later date.

But I still wanted to take a picture of the whole lineup. ......

I was wondering how to reproduce the setting that Sol Grandiva can combine with G-Gladius, but it turned out to be an interesting way to reproduce the combination by placing it on a pedestal.

If you put it on well, you can make the Grandiva stand on top of the aircraft, but I was really worried about its stability. So I decided to use ......

By attaching the prop of "THE Simple Stand" to the pedestal, ......

we were able to stabilize Gran Σ and expand the degree of freedom of posing on G-Gladius.

Of course, you can also make Gran Kaiser stand up. It's the only way to display Gran Kaiser, since he only appears here in the play.

The Grand Diva can also be casually mounted on the pedestal, and the G Driller is simply placed on the pedestal, but being able to reproduce such an "if" mechanism is one of the interesting features of the plastic kit.

The Gran Kaiser and Gran Sigma have the same configuration and style, but more than 80% of the parts are different. The only common part that can be seen is the abdomen, and the other exterior parts are completely different. This is surprising.

Comparison of the arms. As expected, the Geo Javelin is much larger.

The two machines in charge of the chest are also much larger than the Geo Mirage.

The legs of the G Attacker are longer than those of the Geo Stinger, and the legs of the Geo Stinger are stouter than those of the G Attacker.

A little extra work is needed

In this project, we decided to paint the yellow parts of all the other mechanisms except for the GRAND SIGMA.

I painted all the yellow parts of the mechanisms except for Gran Sigma with Gaianotes Eldoran Gold. I thought that if I painted all the yellow parts gold, they might look too gaudy, but that was not the case. In fact, it might be a good idea to make the whole body metallic.

The gold color on the chest looks good. Various kinds of gold paint are available from various manufacturers, so please choose your favorite gold color and paint it.

The handle of the super heavy sword is also painted gold to match the chest parts. The metallic paint on the weapons will add to the gorgeousness of the figure. The drills on the arms could have been painted silver as well!

I never expected that "Gravion" would be released as a plastic kit, and that it would be able to be reproduced as a combined figure. And the fact that the Ultimate Gravion, which was said to be a mystery as to how it was combined, will one day be reproduced is truly a miracle! Let's continue to look forward to that miracle! (Like a certain Nova or ...... Nova!)

When we review "God Sigma Gravion", we will of course also introduce "Ultimate Gravion"!

See you again in the next article!
