A popular work depicting the production site of bishojo games in the 90s! Production of TV anime "16bit Sensation ANOTHER LAYER" is decided!

Aniplex has announced the production of the TV anime "16bit Sensation ANOTHER LAYER.

The doujinshi "16bit Sensation" was distributed at Comic Market 96 by Mitsumi Mitsuri and Amaruki (Aquaplus) and manga artist Tamiki Wakaki.

The setting is Akihabara in the 1990s. The story of the main character, Meiko Uehara, and other characters depicts the transition of the bishojo game production scene and the surrounding cultural movements, and attracted a lot of attention.

The doujinshi has sold a total of six episodes and is currently being published in book form by KADOKAWA (two volumes already in print).

The TV anime adaptation was unveiled at Comic Market 101 in December 2022. It has been revealed that the title is "16-bit Sensation ANOTHER LAYER".

The teaser visual was drawn by one of the original authors, Mitsumi Misato, depicting Konoha Akisato, the main character of the anime version, and Meiko Uehara, who also appears in the original story. The story will be a completely original anime version with the participation of Tamiki Wakagi.
