Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM '19
The DTM car with two victories in the Class 1 era.
Available at Brand Central.

2019 was a year of change for the German Touring Car Championship (DTM). Class 1 regulations were adopted, which stipulate engine downsizing, among other things, and it became possible to co-host races with Japan's Super GT and other teams that use the same regulations.

Audi entered this new category with the "RS 5 DTM," a car with a new heart. The exterior of the RS 5 DTM was the same as the previous season, but the engine was replaced with a 2L inline 4-cylinder turbo engine instead of a 4L V8 naturally aspirated engine, resulting in a dramatic weight reduction and weight balance improvement, as well as the addition of over 600 horsepower, far more than the previous model.

For the 2019 season, Audi will field six RS5 DTM cars as a works team. With the addition of the customer team cars, the RS5 DTM formed a major force, but it was the car No. 33 driven by ace driver Rene Rast that showed outstanding performance. In the second and final race at Hockenheim, Rene Rast won a pole-to-win duel with Nico Mueller, who also drove an RS5, and was crowned champion. Audi Team Rösberg with Renné also won the team title that year, making car No. 33 a memorable machine with two crowns.

Mazda Mazda 3 X Burgundy Selection '19
Elegant fastback with an innovative combustion mechanism.
Available at Brand Central.

The fourth-generation model of Mazda's C-segment passenger car, first unveiled in November 2018. Until then, the Mazda 3 had been referred to as the Axela in Japan, but since the fourth generation is the first model in Mazda's new generation product line, the naming was unified worldwide and "Mazda 3" became the official name.

The lineup of fastback and sedan models is the same as before, but the adoption of Mazda's "KODO - Soul of Motion Design" has made the individuality of both models even clearer. The fastback model is particularly impressive, with its delicate body panels beautifully expressing the subtle transitions of light.

The engines are part of Mazda's new-generation SKYACTIV engine lineup, consisting mainly of 1.5-liter and 2-liter direct-injection gasoline engines and a 1.8-liter diesel turbo, with the 2-liter mild hybrid "M Hybrid" added a little later. This mild hybrid is powered by the SKYACTIV-X engine, which uses a proprietary technology called "spark-ignition controlled compression ignition," and is a revolutionary unit that can reduce NOx emissions without using expensive mechanisms such as urea SCR.

The X Burgundy Selection is a special edition of the SKYACTIV-X equipped grade X with a burgundy interior. The red color, reminiscent of red wine, is used for the genuine leather seats and dashboard, creating a special model with a mature and elegant appearance.

Porsche 959 '87
A 4WD road car that shines brilliantly in the history of automobile technology.
Available at *Legend Cars.

At the 1983 Frankfurt Show, Porsche debuted a concept model. Named "Gruppe B," it was a study model for a four-wheel drive road car that was being developed to compete in Group B, the top category of the WRC at the time, which began in 1982.

In 1985, two years after the Gruppe B was unveiled, the production version was unveiled. It was the Porsche 959. While inheriting the basic structure of the Porsche 911, it incorporated many revolutionary technologies. The engine was a horizontally opposed six-cylinder twin-turbo with a displacement of 2,850 cc and a maximum output of 450 hp. It was mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

The most significant feature is the advanced electronically controlled 4WD system that transfers all the power of the high-output engine to the road surface. The system actively controls the distribution of drive to the front and rear wheels according to road conditions, and allows the driver to select the drive mode that best suits the driving situation. This new-generation 4WD system not only provides excellent handling stability at ultra-high speeds, but also comfort.

Although 292 units of the "Porsche 959" were produced for Group B homologation, it did not enter the WRC due to the disappearance of the Group B category. However, it has achieved brilliant results in competitions, including overall victory in the Paris-Dakar Rally, which was considered the toughest rally in the world at the time.

Many of the 959's technological achievements, including its 4WD system, were subsequently inherited by the 911 and other production models, and became a benchmark for the new sports car. The Porsche 959 is an extremely important model in the history of automotive technology.

Porsche Carrera GTS (904) '64
A masterpiece that made a leap forward in Porsche GT racing activities in the 1960s.
*Available at Legend Cars.

Since its early days in the 1950s, Porsche has been active in motorsports around the world with the 356 series and the 550 Spyder, a mid-ship racing car derived from the 356. The company's reputation grew.

An important milestone that followed in the footsteps of the 356 series was the Porsche Carrera GTS, also known as the 904 GTS after its development code name, which was born in 1963. The Carrera GTS was a sports car that was born in response to changes in the world sports car championship regulations at the time.

In the 1950s, the World Championship races were competed by pure racing cars produced in small quantities. However, in 1961, the championship regulations were revised and the World Championship became primarily a GT class race for mass-produced sports cars. In order to compete in the GT class, it was necessary to clear the rule of 100 mass-produced cars.

The "Porsche Carrera GTS" was developed using a ladder-frame chassis suitable for mass production and covered with a lightweight FRP body, a first for Porsche, and was ready for mass production. The Carrera GTS is also characterized by its low, beautiful styling, designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, grandson of the company's founder, Dr. Porsche. The midship engine was an air-cooled horizontally opposed four-cylinder, but a six- or eight-cylinder engine could also be installed to suit racing requirements.

The "Porsche Carrera GTS" was a car that soon after its debut won the overall championship at the Targa Florio, and its performance was outstanding. It also won class victories at the Nürburgring, Le Mans, and other major endurance races and won the 1964 GT class championship in style.

Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge '18
Japan's top-of-the-line minivan that has evolved into a "luxury saloon.
Available at Brand Central.

The minivan is a popular utility vehicle unique to Japan. Since the introduction of the first generation model in 2002, the "Toyota Alphard" has continued to evolve in pursuit of its value as a "luxury minivan. Today, the Alphard has become the limousine of choice for VIPs, and has become synonymous with Japanese luxury cars, both in name and reality.

The third-generation Alphard, introduced in 2015, further refined the pursuit of luxury and comfort. Symbolic of this was the introduction of the "Executive Lounge" luxury grade, which unabashedly pursues the comfort of the second-row seats. The second-row "Executive Lounge seats" are larger than those of the standard model, and feature a variety of temperature and ventilation controls, as well as a retractable mini-table. The seats also feature a retractable mini-table, as well as temperature and ventilation controls. The quality of the leather and other materials has been meticulously selected to create a space that is as hospitable as a high-class passenger aircraft.

In 2017, the 3.5-liter V6 engine was updated to increase maximum output from 280 PS to 301 PS. The transmission, too, has been upgraded from a 6-speed AT to an 8-speed AT, making it multistage and more efficient. In addition, the rigidity of the floor and door openings has been improved to further enhance driving performance and comfort.

The Nürburgring has been redesigned! The "Sprint" also makes its debut!

Two new layouts have been added to the "Nürburgring" in Germany.

Nürburgring Endurance

(Length: 23,864m / Maximum height difference: 300m / Number of corners: 85 / Maximum straight length: 2,135m)

It is also known as a course used in the Nürburgring Endurance Race Series (NLS).

Nürburgring Sprint
