After six years since its first season, the TV anime "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi 2" will begin broadcasting and distribution on April 3, 2023.

The main character Fuyuyoru Mochizuki, who died by a mistake of God, starts his second life in a different world and plays an active role with his smartphone in his hand, making full use of his too strong power!　And, cute girls with rich personalities are becoming his wives!　The nonstressful and roller coaster ride of the second season is still going strong!

We interviewed the cast members just prior to the broadcast of the second season. In addition to Katumi Fukuhara playing Fuyuyoru Mochizuki, Yui Fukuo playing Lindsey Sileska, and Nanami Yamashita playing Susie Ernea Ortlinde, all of whom continue from the first season, a new heroine, Yu Serizawa playing Hildegarde Minas Restia, who will join the second season, joined us to talk about the highlights of "Isekai wa Smart Phone to Tomodachi They talked about the highlights of "Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomodachi 2.

The highlights of the second season are the Babylon Sisters and eye catches!

Q: How was the recording session after a long time?

Fukuhara: When we recorded the first episode, I was happy to be able to do "Isesma" again! But when it came time to start recording, it took me a while to get back into the character's headspace because it had been 5 to 6 years. It was hard to remember the atmosphere of the work itself.

Fukuo: I think there was a direction for Fuyuyoru that said, "He's too cool! I remember there was a direction for Fuyuyoru that said, "He's too cool!

Fukuhara When I first gave it my all, he said, "It's a little too stiff! Remember "Isesma"! Remember "Isesma"!" That was the direction we received. From there, we made adjustments.

Fukuo: We wanted it to be a little more relaxed.

Yamashita Fuyuyoru is aloof.

Fukuhara That's right. I told him that this kind of thing is nothing to Fuyunyo.

Fuyuyoru's strength to solve everything so easily is his flavor, isn't it? How about you, Fukuo?

Fukuo: At first, we were able to record with a large number of people. Fuyuyoru, Yumina (CV. Marika Takano), Lindsey, and Yae (CV. Chinatsu Akasaki) were all able to record the scene, and when I heard everyone's first words, I felt "I'm back! When I heard everyone's first voice, I felt like "I'm back! Also, every time we work on the set, we receive gifts from Ms. Patra Fuyuhara, the author of the original story. Since the first season, we had received many "Hagi no Tsuki" gifts, so when we saw them again this time, we were all excited and said, "This is it! We were all excited to see them this time, too. We were happy to be able to enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere with the gifts.

Fukuhara I wondered if we would get beef jerky this time. I wondered if we would get beef jerky this time. It brought back memories of the first season.

Yamashita I was also very happy when I saw Fuyuyoru's non-attribute magic "Gate" and "Slip" in the script, as it was a continuation from the first season, and the episodes from the first season came back to me. I was not able to do postrecording for a large group of frames, so from the script, "Isesma" came back to me! I really felt that.

Q: Serizawa, you are a heroine who has appeared in the second season of the anime, how was it to be a part of this team?

Serizawa: I couldn't go to the large group frame either. However, I was able to record a few times with Fuyunya-san. Then I thought, "Is this character the mainstay of this work? I thought (laughs). Also, when I saw Mr. Fukuhara being teased by sound director Takumi Ito, I felt that the studio was a homey place. I heard them talking freely, and I don't know if I was able to join in! I don't know if I was able to join in, but I felt that the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

New character Hildegarde Minas Restia (CV: Yu Serizawa)

ーPlease tell us about the appeal of each character. Let's start with Hilda (Hildegarde Minas Lestia), who appears in the second season.

Serizawa: I had already played her in the drama CD, but I didn't play the scene where she meets Fuyunya and the others. This time, however, the encounter scene is depicted. When she first appeared, she seemed strong, as she is called a "princess knight," but she fell in love with Fuyunya at first sight and immediately said, "I like her! I love her! (laughs).

Fukuhara It would certainly be cool if Fuyuyoru intervened at such a moment when Hilda was being beaten.

Serizawa That's right!　Fuyuyoru came in at the perfect time, and Hilda was so cute and flirtatious! I was like, "Hilda is so cute! There is a gap between the two. The drama CD is mainly about "strong," so I asked her if it was okay for her to have such a cute voice in the anime. I asked her, "It's okay, I'm in love with her! (laugh).

Sushie Ernea Oltrinde (CV: Nanami Yamashita)

How do you like Sushie?

Yamashita: Susy is an innocent and cute girl. She speaks with a "noja" accent at the end of her voice, which makes her unique among the heroines, and I think she is a girl who lights up the world around her. In the anime, when the heroines are aggressive and appealing, the atmosphere sometimes becomes a bit mature. When the heroines are aggressively appealing to the audience, there are times when the atmosphere becomes a bit adulteresting. If we had gone on like this, it would have been dangerous.

Fukuhara He said, "I knew it was Sushie.

Yamashita That's why I have that role too (laughs). (laughs). I like Sushie's sense of energy. The people around us had quite an aggressive approach in their voices.

Fukuhara I think that if we went for a more adult-like approach, we sometimes received direction that we were "a little too adult.

Yamashita But the girls are more aggressive than in the first season, aren't they?

Fukuo: Lindsey started out as a girl who was always with her big sister Else (CV. Marei Uchida), but after meeting Fuyunya, meeting the heroines, becoming a bride, and interacting with the other characters at the bride conference, I think a different side of her came out in the second season. I think that's what I love about her! I also love that!

Lindsey Siljeska (CV: Yui Fukuo)

Do the heroines have a feeling that they can't lose to other girls? Do the heroines have a feeling of "I'm not going to be beaten by any other girl!

Fukuo: At the end of the first season, Lindsey went to kiss Fuyuyoru before anyone else, so I think she has a feeling that she will do it when she has to! I think she has a feeling of "I'll do it when I have to do it!" But now the wives have an agreement.

Serizawa Indeed.

Fukuo: Yumina-san is in charge.

Serizawa I felt like I was in charge (laughs). (laughs). I enjoyed the wife meetings.

Yamashita: So there was not much tension.

Fukuhara I like Susie.

Yamashita I see!

Serizawa He is very popular onsite!

Fukuo After the recording, I was talking with Fukuhara-kun and he suddenly said, "Sushie is the cutest after all.

Serizawa There are some things you don't want me to say, even if I'm thinking them... (laughs).

Yamashita That's why you looked so happy when we recorded together.

Fukuhara Did I look like that? (laughs).

Fukuo He was very happy.

Fukuhara No. ....... She has a totally different approach than the other girls, she has a little sister feel to her. It makes me a little happy to hear a cute girl say "Fuyuyoru, Fuyuyoru~" as I would expect (laughs). (Laughs). She also feels like a daughter, doesn't she?

Fukuo: That's right. What do you think?　Mr. Serizawa.

Serizawa: Well, if you use the word "daughter," that's fine.

Q: Lastly, what are some of the highlights of the second season?

Fukuhara Of course the wives are all wonderful people, but the Babylon Sisters are too unique.

Fukuo Really!

Fukuhara There are a lot of people in the show that even Nojarori would be surprised by. And they annoy Fuyuyoru. Lean (CV. Uesaka Sumire) is usually involved when they annoy Fuyuyoru, but the Babylon Sisters annoy Fuyuyoru with every move they make, so there were many scenes that made me wince. It was fun to play the role, and I think the audience will enjoy it as well.

Fukuo: In the first season, the summoner Kohaku (CV. Yuki Kaita) was a very cute character. This time, Kohaku's friends will increase!　They are also very cute and heartwarming to watch. The heroine is cute, the Babylon Sisters are cute, and the mascot characters, such as Kohaku and the other summoners, are cute. I was thinking that Fuyuyoru was in a really good situation. I thought that was also very "Isesma" like.

Yamashita: Like in the first season, I ad-libbed in the eye catches. I have a really cute eye-catcher of Sushie, so I am looking forward to everyone seeing it soon. I hope people will enjoy the eye catches overall in the second season as well.

Q: The frequent eye catches were thought up by everyone, weren't they?

Yamashita Yes. They were ad-libbed, but everyone prepared them and brought them along. This time, too, I wrote some patterns in the script and brought them with me, so please look forward to them.

Serizawa This is the first time I've seen Hilda in motion, so I want you to see her shiny hair and fighting pose, which is really cool. And her grandfather appears with her. I hope you enjoy Hilda-chan with her grandfather, because he is the best. We had a lot of fun recording the scene together.

Fukuhara I also had the pleasure of recording with Kenichi Ogata-san, who plays the grandfather, and it was a real honor. I had heard his voice since I was a child. But maybe that's part of the charm of "Isezuma. The guest voice actors are always wonderful.

Serizawa Also, I just learned about the eye-catching culture, but I don't remember if I included it or not. But I didn't know that everyone was ad-libbing to the eye catches.

Fukuo: That was a battlefield from the first period.

Yamashita Fukuhara, there were times when you couldn't quite finish your eye catches, right?

Fukuhara No, not now. It was like that.

Serizawa Was it like that in the second season?

Fukuhara No, there were not as many eye catches in Fuyuyoru as there were in the first season, but in the second season, it was easy. But I think the eye catches are a highlight this time as well.
