The killing game of selection begins - spring anime "Jigokuraku" episode 2 synopsis & scene cuts revealed! MAPPA's Anime Adaptation of "JUMP+"'s Inspiring Work!

The synopsis and advance scene cuts for the second episode of the TV anime "Jigokuraku" have been released.

Based on the popular manga series by Yuji Kaku, which was serialized in "Shonen Jump+" (13 volumes), "Jigokuraku" is an inspirational manga. Sentenced to death, the strongest Shinobi, Gebaimaru, and other "sinners" fight together with the "executioner of beheadings" who watches over them, in order to return alive from an island infested with unknown creatures. MAPPA is in charge of animation production.

The second episode of the TV anime "Jigokuraku", which will air on April 8 (Sat) on the TV Tokyo network and other networks, has been released with a synopsis and scene cuts.

Episode 2 "Sorting and Choosing
In order to obtain the elixir of immortality, Gabaimaru and the dead criminals are gathered by the Shogunate. What awaits them is a killing spree in the name of selection. On the battlefield, Sagiri tries to find out whether Gabaimaru is truly a villain who should be killed or not.

＜Synopsis
The time is the end of the Edo period.
Gebaimaru, formerly the strongest Shinobi in Ishikakure, is taken prisoner as a loose Ninja and becomes a mortal criminal,
He is told that he will be exonerated if he brings back "the elixir of immortality" from an island rumored to be the paradise of the Pure Land.
In order to reunite with his beloved wife, Gabaimaru heads for the island where the elixir is said to be located, together with the beheading executioner "Yamada Asaemon Sagiri".
When they land on the island, they are confronted by a group of dead criminals who are also in search of the elixir.
They are also confronted by unknown creatures lurking on the island, artificial and eerie stone statues, and the Immortals who rule the island. ......
Can Gabaimaru find the elixir and return home alive on this mysterious island?
