Overwatch 2 Season 4, Advance Play Report! The Life Weaver, an elegant support hero who brings a new twist to the game, makes an appearance!
Season 4 of Overwatch 2, the team-based competitive network game from Blizzard Entertainment, will be held on April 12.
Season 3 was a season of great excitement, with a new map set on the Antarctic Peninsula, seasonal events, and for the first time, a collaborative event with "One-Punch Man. And in Season 4, a new hero, "Lifeweaver," will be added for the first time since "Ramattra," who appeared in Season 2.
We were given the opportunity to play the fifth hero, "Lifeweaver," on the test server, and we would like to share some of the information with you ahead of time!

The Lifeweaver, a new support hero with footholds, draws, and new abilities never seen before!
The new "Lifeweaver" has basic support hero abilities such as restoring health, but it also has some very unique abilities among the support heroes added in the past, such as creating a foothold to float in the sky and attracting allied heroes. and can pull in allied heroes.
He has the most graceful stance of any Overwatch character in history. The "Healing Blossom" is the most graceful character in the history of "Overwatch.
Main attack "Healing Blossom".
A main attack that heals a specified target. It can be charged by long pressing and can recover up to 65 HP. However, it requires reloading every 12 times to recover.
The amount of recovery is less than that of support heroes such as "Anna" and "Mercy" because it requires a large charge to heal, but it can heal a specific target. Therefore, fellow heroes moving around in enemy territory can receive accurate recovery as long as they are within the "Life Weaver's" recovery zone, allowing for equal recovery for the entire team.
When you charge, not only does the middle icon take on a numerical value, but also the flower in your hand opens up little by little!
Sub-attack "Thorn Volley"
A sub-attack that fires projectiles at high speed; each projectile does only 5 damage, but the number of bullets is 60 and the rate of fire is equivalent to the main fire of "Soldier 76. It is therefore possible to use the sub-attacks to fight back against enemies that the support characters fail to catch, or enemies that try to forcefully attack the support characters.
Ability #1: "Petal Platform
One of the main abilities of the Lifeweaver, it throws a flower-shaped "scaffold" that allows the user to leap high into the air. The coold time (the time between using an ability and being able to use it again) is 12 seconds, which is rather long. The scaffold rises as soon as you get on it, regardless of whether you are an ally or an enemy. The scaffold has a durability value of 400, which is quite high, but it still breaks down after about 10 seconds, so be careful. It is an ability that can be used in various ways, such as by an allied hero who can gain an advantage at high altitudes, or by using it as a trap to disengage an enemy who has used Ultimate.
The height of the scaffold is like this; it would be possible to enter a two-story building right from the outside!
Ability #2: "Wind of Rejuvenation
This is a movement ability that dashes in the specified direction and recovers about 30 of its own life. Although the movement distance is not that long, it has a short coold time of 5 seconds, so it can be used to avoid battle or to leave the front line.
Ability #3: "Life Grip
The second main ability of "Lifeweaver," it attracts an ally, and while the ally is attracted, the ally can prevent enemy attacks. While there have been abilities that draw in enemies, this is the first ability that draws in an ally. It can be used in a variety of ways, such as to temporarily take an ally surrounded by enemies out of the line of fire, or to escape from ranged Ultimate attacks such as "Terra Surge" by "Olisa" or "Meteor Strike" by "Doomfist". The coold time is as long as 20 seconds, so the ability of "Life Weaver" will be tested depending on how this is used.
If the range is this far, it is possible to attract them. It's a powerful skill that can quickly help an ally in danger.
Passive "Scattered Flowers".
Each hero has a unique "passive" ability that, when a "Life Weaver" is knocked down, leaves a small flower token on the spot, which heals the first ally or enemy it picks up. The amount of recovery is 75, which is quite large, so it is important to avoid being taken by enemies.
Ultimate "Tree of Life
This Ultimate (special move) places a giant tree on the field that heals allies. An aura that heals 80 allies in range is emitted a total of nine times, once when the tree is placed and once every second after it is placed. It can be easily understood as a field installation version of Zenyatta's "Kokoro Dokonai". It is a very powerful Ultimate when used at the critical moment, such as when you want to take the offensive or repel an onslaught by your opponent.
The recovery range is within this circle. It is large enough to recover in a wide area, such as control points and payload corridors.
Basic approach to getting around
Basically, the basic approach is to stand behind the tank and damage, keeping in mind that the enemy has a passive that can recover 200 strength, so the basic approach is to recover behind the tank and damage.
Since the amount of recovery is not very large, it will take a long time to recover the tank hero, who is the front line hero of the team and has the highest health among the heroes. It will be easier for the team to recover as a whole.
If you see a low-strength ally surrounded by enemies in battle, you should immediately use "Life Grip". It is possible to draw them in with a fairly long range, so there should be little risk in forcing them to the front lines. Since it is an ability with a long cooldime, you do not want to use it frequently to protect important heroes in your team (mainly tanks and supports), but rather to support them with recovery as much as possible. Also, if you draw them to cliffs or dangerous footholds, you may unexpectedly drop your teammates, so try to use the skill in the safest place possible.
Also, by setting up a "Petal Platform," a team with a "Life Weaver" can climb up to high ground on the map without risking collision with the enemy, so a team with a "Life Weaver" will have the advantage when fighting for high ground with the enemy. To use this technique effectively, it is necessary to understand the map, so it would be advantageous to find a point where high ground can be taken in a custom game in advance.
Compatibility / Bad Hero
Petal Platform" makes it easier to attack from high ground, making it a good match for "Sojourn" and "Bastion," whose attacks are more effective from high ground. In addition, heroes such as "Genji" and "D.va" who defeat enemies by running into enemy territory can be aided by "Life Grip," so their allies should be able to fight with ease.
Conversely, heroes that are not a good match are heroes that attack from behind, such as "Reaper" and "Sombra. Since there is a passive that heals any hero it picks up, regardless of friend or foe, it is certain to be a priority target. If you are attacked, use "Rejuvenating Wind" and leave immediately.
Use the new support hero "Life Weaver" with grace!
These are the features of the new support hero "Lifeweaver.
We can already imagine "Lifeweaver" dancing gracefully around the map with abilities we have never seen before, such as setting up scaffolding and drawing allies to him. The official information already available on the game shows that he is an intelligent and confident character with a sense of humor in "Overwatch 2," with a backstory of a young nature lover who became a hero when he saw the devastation in the world and decided to become one that could heal people. In "Overwatch 2," he is an intelligent and confident character with a sense of humor. Apparently, he is friends with "Symmetra," and we are looking forward to seeing the relationship revealed in the game's interactions.
Season 4 will begin soon, and will include not only new characters, but also new items such as skins with Battle Pass, events, and other content that will make the game even more exciting. With the arrival of the "Life Weaver," it seems that a new wind will blow through "Overwatch 2!
