A special event for "50th Anniversary CD "io"", a drama CD commemorating the 50th anniversary of Koji Yusa's birth released this September, was held at Hitotsubashi Hall on December 2 (Sun.). The event was divided into two sessions, one in the daytime and one in the evening, with guests Kosuke Toriumi, Hiroyuki Yoshino, and Hiroki Yasumoto, who all appear on the main CD as friends, also taking the stage.

The curtain was raised and the first thing that began was the "50th Anniversary CD "io" Emergency Press Conference"! Toriumi, Yoshino, and Yasumoto kept asking questions and giving quizzes that had nothing to do with the CD, to which Yusa, although puzzled, answered in turn, and the venue was already filled with laughter and applause. The audience laughed and applauded early on, and when Toriumi asked Yusa, "Please tell us the title of this event," Yusa called out the title and the special event began. In the daytime session, the backstory of how Yusa nominated Toriumi, Yoshino, and Yasumoto to be invited to this project was told. In the evening session, the origin of the CD title was revealed, and the topic of the snack Nabona, which was also featured in the DVD bonus video ""io" Documentary?

After everyone enjoyed the opening talk, the audience moved on to a special corner prepared for the event. In the "Koji Yusa Historia," the first part of the daytime program, Yusa looked back at what was popular in the 1970s and 1990s, and actual items such as laughing bags and Bikkuriman stickers appeared on stage. When a Choro-Q, which was popular in the 1980s when Yusa started his career as a voice actor, appeared on stage, the cast actually inserted a 10-yen coin into it and tried to drive a wheelie with it.

Next was the "Let's play, Ko-chan!" corner, where the cast members battled it out using the toys they used to play with in their childhood! In the first round, they competed for time in an obstacle race using radio-controlled cars, but Yusa, Toriumi, and Yasumoto had not played with radio-controlled cars for a long time, and Yoshino was a radio-controlled car beginner. In the final practice session, Yasumoto, the top runner, drove safely and set a time in the 11-second range, but Yoshino and Toriumi, the second and third runners, could not control their RC cars as well as they wanted and ran amok. The audience laughed every time the radio-controlled machine went off course. Yusa, who had received enthusiastic cheering from the audience, showed off his skills in an evenly matched battle with Yasumoto. However, Yusa lost by the narrowest of margins, and Yasumoto was presented with a large stuffed alligator as a victory present.

In the second round of paper airplane darts, each player made his or her own paper airplane out of thick paper or cardboard. However, no one could reach the dartboard on the floor, so the rule was changed to "the one who reaches the dartboard wins. In the end, Yoshino completed his paper plane while watching a video on his cell phone explaining how to make it, and with the support of Toriumi, the plane reached the dartboard. The winner, Yoshino, received a Christmas tree as a present.

The evening session, on the other hand, featured a different program than the daytime session. The first segment, "Tamedoshi Research," looked back at the feats accomplished by the world's great men and women at the age of 50. Charles Darwin published "The Origin of Species," and Washizaki suggested to Yusa, "Why don't you publish a book? Washizaki suggested that Yusa "publish a book," to which the audience applauded enthusiastically. In the "Quiz 50/50 to determine the king of poop" corner that followed, the audience was challenged to a two-choice quiz on whether the product "vintage wine made in 1968" was a lie or the truth. The question was: "Actually, there is something called an "A-ball" in addition to a marble. Is it a circle or an X? The Japanese translation of the word "loafer" is "lawyer. Is it right or wrong? Yusa won one after another. As a result, Yusa won with 53 points and Toriumi, Yoshino, and Yasumoto with 0 points.

Later, in the "Ko-chan, Asobo" corner of the evening session, a radio-controlled bowling competition was held to see how many of the 10 colored cones could be knocked down in one minute by a radio-controlled bowling machine. After everyone's challenge was over, the winner was Yusa, who knocked down 9.5 cones (*1 cone was knocked down for a moment, but it got up, so it was treated as 0.5 cones). He was presented with two crocodile stuffed animals, the same as those sent to Yasumoto in the lunch session. In addition, with a little extra time left over, Yusa's winning run (!?), which had not been planned, was suddenly held. The event was a great success from start to finish.

After the lively planning corner was over, the event moved on to the reading performance. In the after-story of "Studio 2118," which was performed during the daytime session, the cast members instantly performed the same two roles as on the CD: one as an "old man" (off) and the other as a "man standing in front of a microphone" (on). The audience was in awe. The audience was also impressed by the comical scene in which the cast members began to emphasize the pronunciation of "vi" during the story.

In the evening session, an after-story of "Super Robot Great Blader" was performed. Yusa as Yusa Koji and Yasumoto as Emperor Inferno were back together again to tell a hot story, and Yoshino's passionate narration and Dr. Bunsuke's freewheeling behavior, played by Toriumi, drew a lot of laughter.

The event came to an end. As the cast members commented one by one, Yusa ended the evening by saying that this event was an unforgettable memory for the rest of his life. The event closed with thunderous applause.
