The 23rd "Detective Conan" movie will be "Detective Conan: The Dark Blue Fist"! Conan, Kid, and Shin Kyogoku battle in a three-way battle in Singapore!

The title of the latest film in the "Detective Conan" series, which has broken box office records for six consecutive years, has been decided as "Detective Conan: Konjo no Fist" and will be released in Toho theaters nationwide on April 12, 2019 (Friday).

Detective Conan" is an anime work based on the popular mystery manga series by Gosho Aoyama, serialized in Weekly Shōnen Sunday (published by Shogakukan). Shinichi Kudo, a high school detective, witnesses a transaction between a mysterious organization and is poisoned to keep his mouth shut. The side effects of the poison, unknown to the mysterious organization, cause Shinichi to change into a first grader, and in order to hide his true identity, he takes on the pseudonym Edogawa Conan and solves numerous cases while tracking down the organization. The 22nd film in the series , "Detective Conan: Zero no Shokugunin," was released on April 13, 2018 (Friday), and has achieved an unprecedented record of breaking box-office records for six consecutive films, surpassing the series' highest grossing of 9.13 billion yen (as of the end of November).

The title, teaser poster visual, and release date of the latest "Detective Conan" film, which will be released in 2019, have now been unveiled.

The 23rd film in the series is titled "Detective Conan: Konjo no Fist " and will be released on April 12, 2019 (Friday) in Toho theaters nationwide.

The film is set in Singapore, the first time in the history of the film version, where Conan and his mortal rival, the Phantom Thief Kid, nicknamed "The Magician Under the Moon," are in a battle over the world's largest gemstone, the Blue Sapphire, which is said to have sunk to the bottom of the ocean at the end of the 19th century, Conan and his fated rival, Kid the Phantom Thief, nicknamed the "magician under the moon," become embroiled in a murder at the Marina Bay Sands and a huge conspiracy in Singapore.


The key person who stands in the way of the Phantom Thief Kid in the film version is the captain of the karate club at Grado High School and the strongest karate master in the world, Kyogoku Makoto, who boasts an undefeated record of 400 fights. Kyogoku is an important character who is involved in the main storyline of the original work, and this is his first appearance in a film version.
In fact, Kyogoku and Phantom Thief Kid have had a history of conflict in the past over Kyogoku's girlfriend, Sonoko Suzuki. For some reason, Kyogoku stands in the way of the Phantom Thief Kid, who is after the Blue Sapphire, while Conan is forcibly taken out to Singapore by Kid. ...... The three-way battle between Conan, Kid, and Kyogoku is one to keep an eye on.

In addition, a teaser visual, handwritten by Gosho Aoyama, the author of the original story, has been released.
With the Marina Bay Sands, a hotel synonymous with Singapore, in the background, Ran looks at Kid the Phantom Thief with a fearless smile on his face. Conan's impatience with Ran, whose cheeks are stained despite having just become lovers with Shinichi, foreshadows a tumultuous love story.

<Story
The world's largest blue sapphire, the "Konjo no Fist," is said to have sunk with a pirate ship in the waters near Singapore at the end of the 19th century.
When a wealthy local man plans to recover the sapphire and brings it to the surface, a murder occurs at the Marina Bay Sands. At the scene, a bloody letter of warning from the Phantom Thief Kid is left behind.
Meanwhile, Ran and Sonoko are in Singapore to watch a karate tournament. Conan, who cannot travel abroad because he does not have a passport, was supposed to stay behind, but he is forcibly brought to Singapore by a mysterious method of the Kid, who wants to take advantage of him. Conan, who cannot even return to Japan unless he obeys the Kid, is robbed of everything, including his glasses, watch, and clothes, and is forced to disguise himself. When asked his name by Ran, who is unaware of his true identity, Conan quickly identifies himself as Arthur Hirai (!?!). He quickly identifies himself as Arthur Hirai (!?).
Kid soon gets information that there is a blue sapphire in the underground vault of a certain mansion. It seems like an easy break-in, but an extremely dangerous trap awaits the Kid.
