Fruits Basket" (original story by Natsuki Takaya) is a very popular girls' manga serialized in "Hana to Yume" (Hakusensha) from 1998 to 2006. The manga has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, and was adapted into an animated TV series on TV Tokyo in 2001, with a total of 26 episodes, followed by a stage adaptation in 2009. In September 2015, a spin-off manga, "Fruits Basket Another," began serialization on the web, with a total of 340,000 copies of the manga in print (two volumes already published).
The story is about a high school girl, Honda Toru.
