Popular Web Novel "I Don't Want to Be in Pain, So I'm Going to Swing to the Defensive." An anime adaptation project is underway!

A light novel by Yumikan, "I don't want to be in pain, so I'd like to swing extremely defensively." will be adapted into an anime.

This popular novel has received a total of over 60 million PV on the novel submission site "Shosetsu-ka-no Naro" (Novelist's Letter). It has been published in book form on Kadokawa Books, and has also been made into a comic book series, selling over 250,000 copies in total.
Set in the virtual game world of "NewWorld Online," the story follows the adventures of Maple, a novice player whose stats are weighted toward defense, as she uses the most powerful skills at her disposal in her great adventures.

On the special website for the original novel, which opened on December 6 (Thu.), it was announced that an anime adaptation of the game is in the works. A newly drawn four-frame manga is also available on the special site.

The fifth volume of the original novel is scheduled for release on December 10. The first volume of the comic book serialized in Monthly Comp Ace (KADOKAWA) is now on sale.
