Good Smile Company has released a new capsule toy, a non-scale figure of a raccoon dog and fox by illustrator Atamoto. The figures will be available at electronics retailers and amusement arcades starting this month.

The "Tanuki to Kitsune" comic series has sold over 800,000 copies and depicts the daily lives of a slightly silly raccoon dog and a slightly mischievous fox, who live together in the mountains. In addition to the book (the latest five volumes are currently in print), this popular work has also been made into a short animation on the official YouTube channel, as well as into a wide range of merchandise.

The new capsule toys are figurines of the raccoon dogs and foxes that appear in the story. The raccoon dog is designed to look like a storefront ornament, while the fox is designed to look like a shrine ornament. The lineup consists of 5 different figurines: "Kitsune no Okuribi: Eyes Closed Ver.", "Kitsune no Okuribi: Normal Ver.", "Tanuki no Okuribi: Hammer Holding Ver.", and "Tanuki no Okuribi: Toguri Holding Ver.
