Spring 2019 Anime "The Sage's Son" Teaser PV Released! Additional cast members including Yara Yusaku unveiled!

In conjunction with the release of the teaser PV for the TV anime "The Wise Son," scheduled to air in April 2019, additional cast members and the artist in charge of the opening theme song have been unveiled.

The Sage's Son" (written by Tsuyoshi Yoshioka, illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi) is a popular work published by Famitsu Bunko, with volumes 1-8 and 1-2 of the Gaiden (outside story) and 7 volumes of the comic book series, which has sold over 1.5 million copies in total. A young man who was supposedly killed in an accident is reborn as a baby in another world, where the "naive" and "out-of-this-world" protagonist leads an otherworldly fantasy life.
The anime staff includes Masafumi Tamura as director, Tatsuya Takahashi as series composition, and Yuki Sawairi as character design. Yuki Sawairi is in charge of character design. The animation production company is SILVER LINK.

A teaser PV was released this time, showing the "out of the box" strength and "naive" side of the main character, Shin Wolford. Additional cast members were also announced. Shohei Komatsu will play the role of Augusto von Allsheid, Rina Honzumi will play Sicily von Claude, Yuki Wakai will play Maria von Messina, Yusaku Yara will play Merlin Walford, and Masara Takashima will play Merida Bowen.

The opening theme song will be sung by i☆Ris. Comments from Yuki Wakai of i☆Ris, who plays the role of Maria von Messina, have also arrived.

August von Allsheid CV: Shohei Komatsu
Prince of the Kingdom of Allsheid. Nicknamed "Aug.
He enrolls in the Allsheid Academy of Magic together with Shin. He has the insight of a prince, but he also enjoys making fun of people he is close to, such as Shin.

Sicily von Claude CV: Rina Motoyumi
She is the third daughter of a baroness and a kind-hearted girl. She meets Shin by chance while strolling in the royal city, and develops a faint crush on him.

Maria von Messina CV: Tomoki Wakai
The second daughter of a countess and Sicily's best friend. She has excellent grades and a cheerful personality.

Merlin Walford CV: Yusaku Yara
Maria von Messina is Shin's foster parent. She is a rare wizard who is revered as a "hero of salvation" and a "sage" for defeating the demons that once nearly destroyed the Kingdom of Allsheid.

Merida Bowen CV: Masara Takashima
Merida Bowen is a leading expert in the production of magical tools. She is revered as "Merida the Conduit" who defeated demons together with "Merlin the Wise".
She and Merlin are formerly married, and she considers Shin as if he were her own grandson.
