In conjunction with the manga, a voice-over rock band, "Minami-Matsumoto High School Punk Rock Club," is formed and performance practice is open to the public. At first, they were very nervous about practicing in front of the public, but now they are looking forward to it because it is one of the few times they can perform together.
Minamimatsumoto High School Punk Rock Club's first single "Stand Up!!!! was released on December 12, 2018. The lyrics, which depict the feelings of unpretentious, life-size high teen girls, are a perfect match with the punk rock concept and a fluttering rock sound that is a departure from the current tune of the anison trend.
This time, we talked to the members of Minamimatsumoto High School Punk Rock Club, Tsukasa Uchiyama (Futaba), Mayu Okumura (Kanae) and Yurina Furukawa (Tsuki), about what they hear in "Stand Up!!!!". and their enthusiasm for the activities of the Minami-Matsumoto High School Punk Rock Club.

I really started as a beginner in the musical instrument I play!

─ Just like the characters in the story, you all play instruments, don't you?

Furukawa: My manager asked me one day, "Can you play the bass guitar? I answered, "If you play the piano," and she said, "Just practice playing the bass guitar. Yes! Shortly after that, I received an offer to play in "Girls Fist !!!!". I was told "Oh, that's what you were practicing for. I thought, "Oh, so this is what I was practicing for" (laughs).

Uchiyama I didn't expect that you were going to play the instruments first! (laughs).

Okumura I can't say that I had never touched a guitar before, but I couldn't say that I could play it properly. So I'm still practicing, but I can't hold down a chord! Also, my wrist hurts!　Since I am not good at pressing down, I put a strange burden on my wrist. ...... I am already struggling with it.

Uchiyama: I used to play drums in a girls' band when I was a junior college student, but at that time, the priority was to enjoy "playing together" with others. So this time, I started by practicing the basics thoroughly. But I'm still not very good at feeling the pedals, so that's my biggest challenge right now. Right now, my left leg doesn't even move except when necessary (laughs).


─ ─ Do you have any similarities with the character you are in charge of?

UCHIYAMA: Futaba Shirase seems to be a solid but out of it, or perhaps she is a ...... clunker (laughs). I can sympathize with her. I don't roll down the stairs as you would expect. I think that is rather cute. I look at it a little favorably because it is my character (laughs). Also, Futaba is quite harsh. She says what she thinks without hesitation and everyone gets upset. Maybe that part is similar to me? (laugh).

Furukawa: I think that Tsuki Fujimori and I are very similar in that we take things at our own pace. In a sense, Tsuki has a sense of self and is not influenced by others. I have always been like that. I don't feel like I belong to a particular group of close friends, but rather, depending on my mood at the time, I would mix and play in various places. I feel like I am always in a group. ......

Okumura/UCHIYAMA: "Grouped together"? (Laughter).

Uchiyama I was certainly "flocking" (laughs). I felt at ease there!

Furukawa: Ha-ha-ha (laughs). (Laughs) I have always had that occasional feeling of wanting to be alone, probably stronger than other people. I think we are similar in that way. I hear that you unexpectedly like cute things. Oh, but I have never said "kikyanai" (laugh).

Okumura/Uuchiyama That's what's so cute~~.

Uchiyama That's the gap moe, isn't it?

Furukawa: She always inserts a little bit of cute stuff like that, and that's what I love about her (laugh). Also, in my mind, Tsuki will change her mood when she sings. ...... I think that she will make her voice quite strong.　I think she sings with a lot of power. So I think the gap between her normal voice and when she sings is the biggest.

Okumura: Kanoe-chan is a bit of a burikko, but in terms of ...... character, I think she is just plain cute. I don't dislike burikko, but I wonder if she is similar to me or not. ......

Uchiyama You mean you don't like her at least a little? (Laughs).

Furukawa Ah, hahaha. It certainly sounds like "I don't like you a little bit" (laughs).

Okumura No, no, no (laughs). (laughs) But I thought that my height was closer to myself than any of the other girls!　I'm not a snobbish girl to the point of losing friends of the same sex, but I do have a tendency to be a beauty on all sides. I have a tendency to put on a good face for every girl. However, as the story progresses, Kanae-chan is becoming more and more like an energetic commentator.

Furukawa: Kanae seems to be the most mentally solid of all the girls. Kanae is the most mentally solid of the two, and Tsuki-chan is the one who teases Kanae (laughs). (Laughs) I like their relationship because they have known each other since childhood.
