Official Report】 *Titles omitted
On December 23 (Sun.), the week after the film's release, a parents-and-children-only IMAX screening was held at T-Joy PRINCE Shinagawa.
Masako Nozawa (Goku), Ryo Horikawa (Vegeta), Goku, and Vegeta took the stage.
The venue was crowded with parents and children of two and three generations, with the voices of children eagerly awaiting the start of the event.
■Greetings
Nozawa and Horikawa, who were called on by the MC, performed lines from the characters they play!
Nozawa: "Osssu, ora Goku!
Horikawa: "This is no time to play around.
The familiar voices of the characters drew loud applause not only from the children but also from their parents and guardians.
■About the audience of all ages seen from the stage
Since this event was a screening for parents and children only, many children gathered at the venue. There were also many adults of the generation of parents who watched Dragon Ball as children.
Nozawa: "It has already been 32 years since the first broadcast! I am happy to see so many children coming to the event! As for me, I can't get over the excitement in the children's eyes!"
Horikawa: "I think that the fathers and mothers are watching the show, and that their children are also watching it because of their influence. I am so happy that two or three generations have come to see the movie!
The secret of Dragon Ball's long-lasting popularity
Nozawa: "Dragon Ball has friends. And the activities of those friends are always cool!
Horikawa: "I think the charm of Dragon Ball is the dedication to not giving up and the importance of pursuing your dreams. Everyone is straight to the point of being clumsy! Goku is especially pure.
What was your "first" experience?
Since this was the "first" IMAX screening, let's talk about their "first" episodes.
Nozawa: "My first postrecording was a live broadcast of a Western movie. When you can't re-record a live broadcast, people in their 30s or older don't want to be distracted, so they read the dialogue slowly. Naturally, it didn't match the mouthpiece! My part was speaking, but the person in front of me was still speaking! It was a real pain in the ass.
Horikawa: "I remember my first postrecording. I had been working as an actor, but suddenly I couldn't do postrecording for an animated film. I had to memorize the entire 30-minute script.
About the recording of "Gojita
Horikawa: "In the TV series, we worked in unison. When we would match each other to see how the scene would come out, we would all get it right the first time. But this time, since Godzilla's scene was longer, we shot it separately.
Nozawa: "Strangely enough, they all fit together at once.
Here, they performed the fusion dialogue live!
Fusion! Ha! Nozawa and Horikawa's voices were perfectly aligned, and the audience cheered and applauded.
Also, since the event was held on "Christmas Eve Eve," the day before Christmas Eve, Nozawa and Horikawa prepared presents for the children by drawing lots!
And during the photo session, Nozawa, Horikawa, Goku, and Vegeta were seen performing the Kamehameha with parents and children in the audience, wearing "Goku's Super Saiyan Blue Paper Hat" that was handed out at the entrance to the event to become "Super Saiyan Blue".
■Messages
Horikawa: "Please take the time to enjoy the film from now on. I hope you will take the time to enjoy the movie, and I am sure you will enjoy watching the other animated series and the movie version as well! Please enjoy Dragon Ball!
Nozawa: "I used to watch my favorite movies two or three times. Please invite your friends and come see the movie for the second and third time!
