LiveRevolt begins today! First day of "LiveRevolt REBIRTH", the first live tour of "LiveRevolt", which is challenged by a new organization!
On December 2, 2018, "LiveRevolt" held the first day of their 3rd tour live "LiveRevolt REBIRTH" in Tokyo at TSUTAYA O-WEST.
LiveRevolt" was launched under the concept of "Revolutionize live performance. It is a major project that involves a multidirectional media mix of two-dimensional content centered on the original manga and three-dimensional content such as real events and live performances.
The project started in May 2017. Since then, they have performed at various events such as "Machi★Asobi", "Re:ainmetion", and LIVE DAM STADIUM stage outside "Animelo Summer Live 2018" (Anisama 2018). In July, the first volume of their manga was released, and their world is steadily expanding.
The world of "Live Revolt," the most notable "live revolt" of the moment, has undergone a year of major changes in 2018. With the release of the first volume of their original comic, their appearance on the Keyaki-hiroba stage at "Animelo Summer Live 2018 "OK!
This year's live, which will conclude a turbulent year, will also be their first tour. How will the eight members perform on this stage, which can be called a "stage of victory"? Here is a report on the live performance, which was a whirlwind of sweat, tears, and enthusiasm.
The excitement was at its peak even before the show started! The first day of the tour
The venue on the first day of the tour was filled with excitement even before the show started. The Revolutionary Army (Revolter, a term used to describe fans of "Live Revolt") were practicing their calls and swaying their bodies to the sounds on the floor. The excitement was already at its peak.
What will happen when the show starts? ...... With these thoughts swirling in the air, the live performance began.
The audience cheered loudly as the members appeared on stage in turn and performed in a manner reminiscent of their characters. I was honestly surprised to see how each member had become their character, from the way they wore their costumes to the way they fingered and looked at each other. It was evident how much the eight members had taken in and sublimated the work "Live Revolt" until this day.
The theme song of "Live Revolt", "Kakumei no Uta (Song of Revolution)", the lead song from the album "REBIRTH", was the first song to be performed. The song was opened with the elongated vocals of Ms. Hanayu Taguchi, who plays Akane Fujiwara, followed by the piercing sound of a guitar and a rapid start! The eight members performed perfectly.
"Hey, guys, thanks for the wait!
Taguchi-san's powerful words started the next song, "QUAD DRIVE! Each unit relayed vocals on this song, and I felt the passion in the eyes of new members Marina Horiuchi, who plays Hinata Tokine, and Ruri Arai, who plays Madoka Shiraishi, as they looked at each other and sang the song. Not only these girls, but also the other units, each gave a performance that showed their bond with each other.
Following the two songs that showed the momentum of the new "Live Revolt," the stage was now set for each unit's song.
The top performer was "dubstar" performed by Hanayu Taguchi, who plays Akane Fujiwara, and Yuri Akiba, who plays Kokomi Noda.
Taguchi-san said, "Let's make the venue red with your passion! The floor was dyed red by the bright red penlights, and the two sang "Going! In the original comic book, this was the first song sung by the two after they formed the unit, and their performance was impressive for the mutual trust and friendship they showed by twisting their pinky fingers in unison.
The next song was "BLAZE," which was performed for the first time at the live. I will convey my feelings that can only be conveyed live! As if to prove Taguchi's words, the two pumped their fists in the air. The audience danced along with them during the chorus, further increasing the sense of unity. The excitement of the audience was that of a rock band.
Four different types of unit songs on stage
Following the powerful dubstar was "RumBlue," performed by Yu Michii (Marin Seto) and Mao Aoki (Chris Shisaki).
First of all, their perfect visuals were stunning, as if the characters they portrayed had jumped directly into the three-dimensional world. Ms. Michii's cool, slouching demeanor in her hoodie is just as cool as Marin's, and Ms. Aoki's confident appearance is, in a word, filled with a beauty of isolation!
As Michii said, "We sing only cool songs," the audience was excited by the cool and emotional "Lovin' Blue" and "Cosmic Teal Love," two songs that can only be sung by two such singers.
The following unit, "Recitals," performed a sort of refreshing break from the succession of hard-hitting songs that had been performed so far.
The unit, composed of Marika Gomi (Rina Miyashiro) and Yuu Ikeba (Kana Hirai), performed a lively party tune with a lot of energy and smiles, which made the middle part of the show more exciting.
Everyone was smiling during "Happy Magic! I especially loved Ikeha's happy expression. Ikeha's happy expression was especially irresistible, and the audience could feel the joyful feelings of the audience.
The next song, "Samabake! ~Eternal Summer~" was a towel song that everyone could enjoy. This song, which began with the line "......," which brought the two performers to Shibuya, where the live was held, was truly a carnival! The stage was filled with the enthusiasm of the audience.
The last unit to perform was "FIREVOLT," the top unit of Kanagaoka Jogakuin. Marina Horiuchi, who plays Hinata Tokine, and Ruri Arai, who plays Madoka Shiraishi, showed off their outstanding singing skills with "2 wishes" as soon as they appeared on stage. When Ms. Horiuchi grabs Ms. Arai's hand from behind, the look on her face, both sexy and mysterious, is unintentionally thrilling.
Following the stage where Hinata and Madoka's feelings for each other, who are partners and rivals at the same time, seemed to be bouncing off each other, "Beyond Time" presented a fresh and new FIREVOLT impression. This time, the music seemed to express "the world of two people" in a completely different way. Just like their characters, they overwhelmed the audience with their performance as if they were top divas.
Four different unit songs on stage
The songs from the album had been performed one after another up to this point, but from this point on, a surprise song was performed by a well-known artist who provided a song for each unit. The tension of the Revolutionary Army was rising rapidly, as this was the first time the song was performed at this live!
The first performer was of course dubstar, who performed "Relive" by Kyodan Kishida & The Meisei Rockets. When the duo began to sing with the driving band sound of Kyodan Kishida & The Meisei Rockets, the audience clapped their hands vigorously. The audience sang along in unison, and the song seemed to be one that would bring new life to the "Live Revolt.
Next, RumBlue performed "ANEMONE" by Alstroemeria Records. The mellow EDM sound and emotional vocals immediately transformed the venue into a dance floor.
Recitals performed "Mayday" by IOSYS! Kuru Kuru Crisis Academy" by IOSYS! The ups and downs of the sound, typical of IOSYS, were most enjoyable. Gomi and Ikehane performed "Give me extra test scores! Lower the price of yakisoba bread! and "Lower the price of yakisoba bread!" countless fists were pumped in the air. What is this sense of unity?
FIREVOLT sang "SECRET ROSARY" by Arte Refact, and their beautiful voice was heard in a symphonic metal-like sound. The band showed a "secret garden" stage, with many scenes that made the audience feel a little bit nervous, as they had a highly yuri-like relationship with each other.
The last song was an upper tune filled with positive power, "Kick it off with our voices! filled with positive power. The lyrics of this song were written by Aki Hata, who is known for writing many anime songs and character songs, and it has a major impact on the audience! The excitement of the audience was further heightened by this new song, which seemed to be packed with the current momentum of the eight members.
The last song of the main program was "My best buddy," a song about the bond with one's partner.
The last song of the show was "My best buddy," in which the eight of us have made it this far thanks to all of you.
Taguchi expressed his gratitude to the Revolutionary Army, and the eight sang the song, holding hands firmly with their partners. It was a moving finale.
When the audience called for an encore and the eight members reappeared on stage, new information was announced at once.
On March 13, 2019, they will release a mini-album "BUDDIES" containing the five new songs announced this time. On the same March 12, the second volume of the original comics will be released. In addition, the announcement of the start of subscription distribution of "Live Revolt" songs shook the audience with joy.
At the end of the event, everyone said they had a great time! One particularly memorable comment was Akiba's, "I think Live Revolt has started now.
The first day of the tour marked the birth of the "new Live Revolt. The closing songs were "QUAD DRIVE!" and "Kakumei no Uta (Song of Revolution)," which were performed again. The members and the Revolutionary Army enlivened the stage with the best singing and cheering of the day so that they would have no regrets.
It was the first day of the tour, filled with enthusiasm that could truly be called the eve of the revolution. Riding on this momentum, what kind of scenery will the eight members who have run through the tour show us in 2019? We will keep our eyes on them.
