National Prefectural eSports Championship 2019 IBARAKI", additional titles to be added! Three more titles will be added to "WIRE 2019," "GT SPORT," and "Puyopuyo eSports."

The Japan eSports Union announced the addition of Gran Turismo SPORT and Puyo Puyo eSports as two additional titles for the National Inter-Prefectural Sports Championship 2019 IBARAKI, which will be conducted with the Iki Ibaraki Yume National Government and Iki Ibaraki Yume Games Executive Committee. This brings the total number of titles to be implemented to three, along with the already announced "Winning Eleven 2019".

The "National Prefectural eSports Championship 2019 IBARAKI" will be the first eSports tournament to be held as a cultural program of the National Athletic Meet, and the first cultural program to hold qualifiers in all 47 prefectures of Japan.

In making this announcement, Governor Oigawa of Ibaraki Prefecture said, "Since the announcement of the event in May of this year, we have received a great deal of response to this tournament. We received a request from the Japan eSports Union to add a new title, and we decided to do so because we believe that more players will be able to participate. We hope that this will make this tournament even more exciting.

■National Prefectural eSports Championship 2019 IBARAKI Overview
In conjunction with the 74th National Athletic Meet (Iki Iki Ibaraki Yume National Athletic Meet) and the 19th National Sports Meet for the Disabled (Iki Ibaraki Yume Meet) to be held in 2019, an "e-sports tournament between prefectures" will be held as the first attempt in Japan as a cultural program for both events.
The strongest e-sports players will gather in Ibaraki to compete to become the first champion.
