Special program to commemorate the release of "City Hunter" the Movie, "Music City Hunter," will air on January 4, 2019!

The manga world's "legend" "City Hunter" will return in 2019 for the first time in 20 years as the feature-length animated film "City Hunter the Movie <Shinjuku Private Eyes>"!

To commemorate this, a one-night-only special program "Music City Hunter" will be broadcast on January 4, 2019.

City Hunter" is a hard-boiled manga by Tsukasa Hojo that was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1985. The original work has sold more than 50 million copies worldwide. The main character is "City Hunter" Saeba Akira, who takes on various commissions in Shinjuku and fights against evil that cannot be judged by law. He is a top-notch marksman and the underworld's No. 1 sweeper, but he is also an unparalleled lover of women. The film depicts their activities in a sometimes hard-boiled, sometimes comical manner.

The special program "Music City Hunter" will be broadcast to commemorate the revival of the series after a 20-year absence. Ichiro Yatsui will serve as MC and introduce many famous songs that colored the world of the "City Hunter" anime. The program will be full of the nostalgic trends of the 80's bubble era when the anime was broadcast.
