A media interview meeting for the exhibition "Rough ∞ Picture," which will run from April 2 (Tuesday) to April 16 (Tuesday), 2019, was held at 3331 Arts Chiyoda (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on December 28 (Friday), 2018. On the day of the event, we were joined by Osamu Akimoto, Yoshitaka Amano, Kunio Okawara, and Akemi Takada, who have led the world of Japanese manga, anime, and character design, including "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen Mae Hashutsujo," "Final Fantasy Series," "Mobile Suit Gundam," "Creamy Mami the Magic Angel," and many more that have fans not only in Japan but also worldwide. and Akemi Takada. Yuji Nunokawa, the chairman of the exhibition's organizing committee and the "director" of the exhibition, met the four artists at Tatsunoko Productions, the intersection where they all began their careers. The five artists' mentor, Hiroshi Sasagawa of Tatsunoko Productions, and voice actor Fumi Hirano, a witness to the site that inspired the exhibition, were also guests at the event.

Yuji Nunokawa, the executive committee chairman, talked about the "impetus" for planning this exhibition: "At a dinner party at the end of the year before last, the members gathered and decided to do something together, and I was nominated. I was nominated. At that dinner party, they drew illustrations together and each took home a "color paper of the beginning," which Fumi Hirano, a voice actor who was present at the meeting, brought to the meeting.
Nunokawa said, "I was inspired by these colored papers to think about what kind of exhibition we could do together (for the "Rough Infinity Pictures" project). I was worried if everyone had kept the rough sketch, but they did." I was worried if everyone kept their rough sketches, but they did," he said.

On this day, one of the exhibition's main attractions, "Change and Challenge," in which participants drew a masterpiece of another artist's work, which they both said they wanted to draw, was presented.
Osamu Akimoto, who drew Jun the Swan from "Science Ninja Squad Gatchaman," said, "When I was in high school, I joined Tatsunoko Productions because I had a passion for anime, but unlike manga, which you agonize over by yourself, anime is made by everyone, so it was a lot of fun. I liked Jun so much that I drew only Jun." I loved Jun and drew only Jun," he recalled.
Yoshitaka Amano, who created "Mobile Suit Gundam" in oil paint, said, "I painted Gundam for the first time in my life. This time, I thought my responsibility would be less heavy than usual since it was an exhibition of four artists, so I had fun painting it. I had a lot of fun painting it," he said.
Kunio Okawara, who drew Kankichi Ryotsu from "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen Mae Hashutsujo" under the theme of gag, serials, and super robots, said, "I think it is important to be playful when designing. In product design, you take away unnecessary things, but I believe that mechanical design for animation is a process of attaching various things together to leave an impression. I had a lot of fun while drawing this one." Takada Akira, who said that his work is still incomplete, said, "I am very happy with the work.
Akemi Takada, whose work is still incomplete, brought a work depicting Ken Owashi from "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman," which is how she got into the animation industry, and said, "I visited Tatsunoko Productions once a month as a university student and joined the company. I went to visit the company once a month when I was a college student, and I joined the company directly. I brought this work, which I painted three years ago," he said.

Another theme of this exhibition is "Future," which means the future of the five artists as they continue to evolve and nurture the next generation of creators.
Nunokawa said, "I especially hope that young people will come to see this exhibition. Animation has evolved digitally, and we are now in the age of drawing originals on tablets, but in this age, I want people to experience the strength and raw power of the rough drawings by these four artists. He expressed his enthusiasm for the exhibition, in which visitors will be able to see the works of these four artists, all of whom radiate strong individuality.
