Compact crafting space at home! Balbani's Hobby Craft Base "Modelo" makes progress in plastic model making! The 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show

The 61st Shizuoka Hobby Show was held at Twinmesse Shizuoka in Shizuoka Prefecture from May 10 (Wed) to 14 (Sun), 2023.

This event is one of the largest model and hobby events in Japan, held annually in Shizuoka Prefecture, where many model manufacturers gather. This year, a total of 95 companies and 2 organizations exhibited, far more than last year.
This year, the 10th and 11th were vendor invitation days, and the 12th was an invitation day for local elementary, junior high, and high school students to familiarize themselves with modeling culture. The 13th and 14th were open to the public.

I would like to introduce a hobby craft base "Modello" just released by a local Shizuoka furniture maker "Balbani".

It is a remarkable hobby-related item that can be stored compactly, customized for your own use, and folded up when not in use to save space, making it a craft space that matches the living environment in Japan.

This is the "Modello" in its unfolded state. By unfolding the box-like exterior, a work desk and shelf space appear.


Here is the work desk. When the desk is folded down, a work space and a perforated board on which you can hang craft tools with hooks appear. Place the tools in a way that is easy for you to use. There is also space for plastic model boxes at the foot of the desk, so you can safely store kits you are working on.

The cupboard space on the side can be set to any height and number of shelves by inserting shelf dowels.

The ceiling has duct holes, so a paint booth can be installed!

When not working, the booth can be folded up like this for storage. A lock with a key is provided, so there is no need to worry about small children opening it without permission. And since it comes with casters, it is easy to move around!
This will allow you to make plastic models without disturbing your family!
