Interview] SPR5's 1st. album "Supreme Revolution" is a strong step up for SPR5. This album is a collection of songs full of the members' individuality!

SPR5 (Supreme Five) is a unit of five voice actors born from the smartphone game "Extinct City 0." last year in 2018. SPR5, an idol unit that appears in the game, is making its debut in the real world, and its members, Yu Shamoto as Homura, Emiri Iwai as Nami, Hena Naota as Haruka, Akuri Onishi as Rena, and Hikari Sonoyama as Yua, also voice the SPR5 characters in the game.
Their full album "Supreme Revolution" is already here, and all the members voiced their surprise and happiness at the jump of only a few months since the release of their 1st. single "Incomplete Notes" in the summer of 2018.
This time, not only songs sung by all five members, but also duo and trio songs among the members, as well as solo songs by each member, and a wide variety of numbers. The first song, the festive and fun "Five! Suspects!" is a fun and festive song that introduces the five members' characters, and can be considered an album that focuses on their individuality.

The songs on the album are also extremely diverse, ranging from cool, fast and furious numbers to passionate songs and cute, authentic idol songs. The three songs on "Incomplete Notes" also offer a rich variety, but this album is even more impressive than that.
A special event with the same title as the album is scheduled to be held in March, and we hope it will be a fun event that will please not only those who are already fans but also those who are new to the band!　We want to have a lot of fun, and we want to have a lot of fun together!　We want to have a lot of fun with our fans and also with people who are just getting to know us!

We asked the five members of SPR5 to talk about the 11 songs included in their first album.

The song "Arcione" is the one we want you to see us step up to a higher level.

──We would like to talk about the songs on the album in order. Five! Suspects! is just fun with its self-introductory lyrics.

Shamoto: The lyrics have a lot of lines, so I'm looking forward to playing around with them at the live performance. It will be fun to play around with it at the live performance.

Naota: The lyrics are based on our opinions as well.

Sonoyama: What kind of impressions do we have of each other? Sonoyama The lyrics were written with elements of the five of us talking about what our impressions are of each other and what we think this character is like. Since our opinions were incorporated into the lyrics, it is no longer clear whether the introductions in the lyrics are about the characters or about me. It's like it's a song about the characters, but it also has extracts of ourselves in it.

Iwai: There is a call-and-response part in the song that is not shown in the sample video, so I think it would be great if the audience could unite with the song at the live performance.


─ The second song, "Arcione," is a hot Spanish-style song.

Shamoto: It is a passionate song in which you can see the new five of us, who have grown since "Incomplete Notes" in terms of singing and dancing. There are many solo parts for me, and I sang them with all my heart and soul. I would be happy if you could feel that passion and warm yourself while listening to "Archeone" at ...... because it is cold this time of year (laughs).

Iwai: The first line, "We who have stopped acting have now decided to act," is very much in line with ourselves. I think that even though we have stopped "acting," we are still here, and at the same time, our characters are still here. The self-introduction song "Five! Suspects! the self-introduction song, followed by "Arcione," which can be interpreted in this way. I think so. Also, I think it's a really cool song and the dance is very powerful, so I think it's a song that attracts people. Therefore, we would like to improve the precision of our live performance. I hope that everyone will listen to the song and hear more than just my interpretation.

Naoda: In the chorus, there is a part where the four of us are singing together and only Haruka is chasing after us. In the lyrics, the words are "It's going to be hot, hot, hot. In the lyrics, the part is written with "" (parentheses), and the four of us are singing with passion ...... especially Shamochan is singing with her soul, and I am singing with passion to support everyone more so that I will not lose to her. So that is my recommendation (laughs).

Onishi "Even the rain that knocks on the window, even the sun that scorches" was written by Shunryu with what I sang at the SPR5 Meeting Vol. 2 held last summer in the midst of a typhoon and at Keyaki Plaza during Anisama in the middle of a blistering hot summer. I was impressed by the fact that Shunryu wrote the lyrics in conjunction with the real SPR5!　I hope that everyone will look at the lyrics and imagine the real SPR5 in various ways.

Sonoyama: I performed this song for the first time in front of everyone at the SPR5 Meeting Vol. 4. The audience's reaction at that time was a serious and breathtaking one. I think we were able to create "Arcione," with its intense sound and cool dance moves, and the five of us singing and dancing our hearts out to create something that would overwhelm the audience. So I hope this song will be able to deliver the max of our time.
