The latest plastic model review] Voice actor Yasuyuki Tai thoroughly reviews the shocking MODEROID "God Sigma Gravion! Part 2──Finally completed, the Ultimate Gravion!

When you are a working adult, you tend to have a lot of plastic models piled up in your busy life. ...... In this series, Yasuyuki Tai, a voice actor who loves robots and plastic models, takes on the challenge of building plastic models on your behalf!

The concept is "even busy working people can make it this far on their weekends off. There are only two rules: bare bones assembly and a production period of one to two days! If you read this series, you will surely find the plastic model you want to build.

So, "Weekend Plastic Model Making by Voice Actor Taiyuki! Let's get started with the 76th issue!

Taiyuki's Weekend Plastic Model Kit Part 77: MODEROID God Sigma Gravion Part 2

Now, let's try to build the most dangerous god!

Sandman: "Gentlemen of the Grand Knights! We will now perform the Final God Combination!"

SolGravion and God SigmaGravion are joined together to form the final evolution of the Gravion. The final form of Gravion's evolution!

"Douga! Ergo form!

So, GranKaiser will start from the state where it is merged with SolGravion!

First, each Sol Grandiva is separated!

God Σ GRAVION Grandeva is also separated!

Transforms Gran Kaiser into combined form.

The main wings of the "Geo Mirage" and the thrusters connected to it are combined into the Gran Kaiser.

Remove the head of the Gran Kaiser and connect the black pedestal part.

Connect the parts that cover the entire backpack to secure the pedestal parts.

Connect the black "G Attacker" and "G Striker" to the black arms as shown above to cover the shoulder armor.

The "Geo Javelin" is left separated from the left and right sides of the "Geo Javelin" ......

Move the drill to the side that makes up the right arm. When combined, the aircraft swaps sides from the position shown in the photo.

Large wrists are also provided for Ultimate Gravion.

Attach the extension parts to the combining joints on the forearms of the Gran Kaiser and combine both arms!

Combine parts of Geo Mirage, super heavy sword and attachment parts,

Combined with the left arm.

Geo Stinger" and "Geo Calibur" are combined as in the case of Sol Gravion.

The "G-Driller" is a two dimensional magic trick in the anime, so it has been enlarged to a large size, so a giant G-Driller for Ultimate has been added to the figure for a more attractive appearance! Although it is huge, the inside is hollow, so it is surprisingly light.

The Giant G-Driller is combined with the sole of Sol Gravion's foot!

Gran Sigma's head and legs can be further separated. The arms can be transformed and the waist can be rotated 180°.

The white waist is covered with parts for combining.

For both legs of Gran Σ, bend the upper side of the double joints of the knees and connect the cannon parts to the heels.

Attach them to the waist parts mentioned earlier.

The Gran Σ, ready to be combined, is attached to the back of Gran Kaiser.

Only the chest armor is used for the G-Shadow. The parts that make up the backpack of the God Gravion are used separately, split for merging.

Remove the cover from the front of the Grankaiser's waist and connect the joint for attaching the G Shadow.

Attach a split version of the God Gravion backpack to the waist side skirts.

Fold the main wings of the G Shadow forward as far as they will go and join them to the front of the waist.

On the chest, a shield with the grip removed is attached.

The head for the Ultimate Gravion is assembled anew, combining parts from the God Gravion and God Sigma Gravion.

Attach it to the main body and you can see ......

"The most evil god!"

Ultime--t......Gravion!!!!!!

is completed! How do you like it? Sorry that some parts have been painted gold, as this is the Sol Sigma Gravion I used in a past review! ...... is this godly figure! We have been waiting for this day since the announcement of the ...... kitification of the ...... Holly!

This is the upper body. The chest is so voluminous that if you look at it with a little stirrup, it seems to hide the face right away. The legs of the God Sigma Gravion become shoulder armor as it is. It is a powerful figure that leaves no questions unanswered!

And above all, it is colorful. If you want to paint it, you will have to spend a lot of time and effort.

The size of the G-driller has been enlarged because it no longer fits in with the original setting. Look at the evilness of the giant drill on its toe. It's just like "the most evil.

When you think about it calmly, the structure looks like it is wearing high clogs, but why does it look so cool?

The super heavy sword, which was too big for Godgravion to handle, settles down to a fixed armament on the left arm when it comes to Ultimate. ......

The armament of Geo Javelin has been integrated into the right arm. The volume of this arm is also good.

The backpack is designed to carry the entire Gran Sigma. As a generator, there is nothing better than this. It is also nice that the connecting joints of the shoulder armor are less noticeable.

This back is so intricate that even in the "Mecha-Sma Impact" delivery, director Masami Ohari exclaimed, "This is how it's done! and marveled at the complexity of the parts configuration. Since the anime did not have a proper setting (since the G-Driller is so huge), it was a high hurdle to overcome in the process of creating a three-dimensional Ultimate Gravion.

The position of the legs of the Gran Sigma is something that could only be interpreted by a plastic kit. Even so, the fact that the Gran Sigma was not made as a dummy, but was properly processed with parts, is a great achievement.

The forearms of the G-driller are heeled. This ankle is very stable.

Finally, let me explain the range of motion.

Let's start with the head. The head is large and has no obstacles around it, so it moves surprisingly well.

The shoulder armor can move a little by using the arm that extends from the backpack, but it cannot follow the rotation of the arm.

But that's okay. It's big and cool.

The arms can be moved only by rolling the connecting axes of the two arms and bending the elbows 90 degrees.

But that's okay. It's just big and cool.

The torso can be bent forward slightly, and also ......

The torso can move laterally and twist at the waist a little.

The G-Shadow is combined with the waist, so the front-back leg opening is a little narrower. ......

But it doesn't matter. It's big and cool.

The knee joints can be bent almost as much as in the case of GRANCAIZER!

The legs can be opened to the left and right quite widely.

The movable ankles are similar to those of Sol Gravion.

By replacing the upper body of the Gran Kaiser with an action torso, the arms can be lifted somewhat horizontally.

To be clear, bold posing is not possible! Even if you try to make him take the action to the fullest, this is about as much as you can do!

But that's okay. It's big and cool!

Speaking of big, the "Super Heavy Bullet Gai Sword," a weapon that did not appear in the movie and was designed by director Masami Ohari, is also included in the new MODEROID. Only the red part is sealed. Other parts are color-coded by dividing the parts.

The sword looks like this when held in the hand.

It is so powerful that it makes me laugh. The super heavy sword on the left arm looks cute.

When displaying the sword on "The Simple Stand," be sure to tighten the screws a little so that the sword does not fall over.

I gripped the sword in my opposite hand and held it against the ground.

I am sorry to repeat this but this is the most attractive point of Ultimate Gravion. I know it is a little difficult to make him pose, but he looks so cool standing there that you don't care about that.

And here is the reason why it took me so long to publish the article: .......

Plus ● a hassle ......!

Normally, I would send you a "plus one effort," but this time, in commemoration of the "completion of Ultimate Gravion," I tried gluing, removing seams, and painting all of the parts!

We glued the parts in between, painted in detail, filled the gaps using putty, and painted using various paints. ...... As a result, it took about 3 weeks to complete .......

Please take a look at this spirited piece of work!

The main paints used were as follows.

GSI Creos
Flying cloud white
Super Rich Gold
Super Duralumin

Gaianotes
EX Black
WM Blue 2
Star Bright Iron

Model Kasten
Fire Red

The number of colors is not as many as expected, but it is inevitably time-consuming when painting and gluing.

The difficult part in painting the head is the gold line above the eyes. This time, I used masking tape to paint them. The eye parts and clear parts are not painted.

The G-attackers, which are used as shoulder armors, are painted a little more. However, the more colors there are, the more information there is, so this is a point that I really want to paint.
Painting the details inside the cannon cannon on the waist may also look difficult, but by chopping the masking tape into small pieces, painting was made possible.

As for painting the G-shadow, it was easy to mask it because the details are clear.

Blade parts such as the super heavy bullet gaika sword are coated with glossy clear. The rest of the body is matt clear except for the clear parts.

It was difficult to paint the legs of GRANKAIZER. The green parts of Gran Kaiser's legs are replaced with lappy tape.

Comparison with only partially painted. The left is the partially painted kit and the right is the fully painted kit.

The kit is so powerful that you will be quite satisfied with just the unassembled model, but doesn't it look more luxurious with the painted one?

Just as there are various shades of even a single gold color, the atmosphere of the finished product will change depending on the taste of the person who paints it. However, we do not recommend everyone to remove all the seams and paint Ultimate Gravion. It is quite difficult. However, the sense of accomplishment upon completion is also considerable. If you want to experience this, please follow the same path as I did.

However, if you want to play with it as a toy or a figure, it would be best to play with it without painting. How will you enjoy this "GRAVION" series? First, try assembling it with your own hands and enjoy the fun of this series.

Now, what's next kit for you, ~~~~?
