It is surprising that more than 10 years have passed in the blink of an eye since Fuchiko first appeared in 2012. I believe that the company has done an immeasurable amount of work in winning over female capsule toy fans with this hit product. The category of gacha for women has been taken over by various manufacturers and products, and its percentage in the overall capsule toy industry has grown over the years. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the underlying force behind the recent capsule toy boom.

This month, KITAN CLUB, the company that sparked the capsule toy boom and continues to be at the forefront of the capsule toy industry, has come out with a wonderful animal toy that makes us dream. Both of them are punchy and attractive products with beautiful modeling that would have been possible only with capsule toys.

Seated Momotaro: 5 kinds, 400 yen

From cats, dogs, frogs, bears, rabbits, and foxes to clay figures, funny cats, and popular characters, ...... makes you want to project yourself into the figure that relaxes moderately and gazes off into the distance in a daze. The "Sitting" series is Kitan's specialty!

The "Sitting Momotaro" featured in this issue is the latest in the series.

Momotaro" is a famous folktale that is known by all the people in Japan. It is a standard story that depicts a fierce battle between an ogre and Momotaro at the end of the story, but the feeling that the ogre and Momotaro are sitting down and having a discussion instead of fighting seems to appeal to us with a message of peace even more, which is in line with the G7 meeting held in Hiroshima. The mini-book also includes the phrase "World Peace through Capsule Toys," and I wondered if this sentiment was incorporated into the product as well. I wonder if this is the case. Let's take a closer look!

Momotaro

The cat is in charge. A cat that follows dogs, pheasants, and monkeys? It's a cat that follows dogs, pheasants, and monkeys. The cat looks frail but also dignified, giving it an atmosphere that cannot be created by human characters. The distinctive bangs are still in place. He wears a peach hachimaki and a blue haori. On his back are the words "Japan's No. 1. Never hunched over, he may be staring at a bright future ahead of him.

Monkey.

The "peach hachimaki," a symbol of loyalty, shines on his mysterious face. The monkey sits sturdily on his haunches and looks dependable, as if he is the one to beat. In the midst of all this, we found a point of charm! His red buttocks are also expressed in a cute way.

Inu (dog)

The slightly pathetic, loose atmosphere is great! Is he skinny? Macho? The subtle lines of his body shape are also a tasteful touch. Hachimaki's peach mark, eyes and nose tip. And the dignified mouth is a chest point. The curly tail. The paw pads are also finely crafted.

Kijiji

This one is a real beauty. I have never seen such a realistic looking pheasant sitting so still. It is a high-level creation. This kind of situation does not exist in the natural world, so it must have been imagined to some extent, but even so, it is beyond imagination. The head is raised. Eyes that are probably looking forward. The wings are stretched out like hands to support the body. The details of the legs and the paintwork are also amazing. I hope you can actually see, touch, and feel it.

Oni

This is a large ogre that gives the impression of being the last boss. The fact that the motif of the animal is not made clear is mysterious and nice. He has curly hair like a thunder god, golden horns, and a crimson body color. Its eyes are the sharpest in the world. We also saw fangs around her mouth. You also clearly wear striped pants. Negotiations with such an ogre are likely to be difficult. This ogre gives us the feeling that a new chapter of "Momotaro" is about to start.

In contrast to the past "Sitting Momotaro" series, which have been slack and relaxed, this "Sitting Momotaro" seems to be different from the others in that it seems to have an underlying theme to resolve issues through discussions toward peace. Am I reading too much into it? Please try to feel the messages from the expressionless animals in your own way.

Food ZOO: 5 kinds, 400 yen

I was impressed to see how the same animal series can be so different from each other. This is a collaboration work with illustrator and toy planning designer "Akikoya.

The characters are a pun-like merging of animals and food, and how fun they will be for children. ...... but look at how it's done! Some of the animals are too realistic and a bit occult. Let's consider "TABEMONO ZOO," which looks like it could cause some sort of trauma.

Ichi-ichi Gorilla

What is that? Almost a red gorilla! He probably thinks he is posing in a cute way, but it seems rather annoying ......(laugh).

He is using a strawberry stump as a hat. ......? From the top, how it looks like a strawberry itself! This is amazing!　The brachial muscles start to look like pulp filled with sweetness. Terrifying.

A long-haired dog, this is a seasick dog.

A dog with long hair, is this a Shih Tzu? Each hair is a noodle. The condiments cling to the hairs, and the color is slightly soy sauce-colored. When I took my eyes off the dog, it made a mad dash for the grass. This is not a situation where you would come back to find yourself like this!

It is cute that Naruto is attached to the place where the hair is tied up.

Croquette

A cat resting and a croquette are docked together!　Who did the mischief? Who did the mischief? The croquette is finished off in a delicious way with sauce poured over the back and shredded cabbage, but the cat's expression is menacing, as if to say, "If you can eat it, try it. I can't touch it.

Kame-dama-yaki

A turtle is piling up fried eggs. But would a fried egg usually come after the turtle? Or menma ramen?　Or spaghetti with mentaiko (cod roe) ......? After all, why not a fried egg? The balance between the yolk and broccoli is absolutely exquisite. Also, the expression on the turtle's face makes me moe.

...Frappe penguin.

Last but not least, here comes the frappe. If you look closely, you can see a penguin's face. I feel like eating it as it is! The contrast of blue and white is so refreshing. TUBE, one of the most popular summer bands, used to wear this kind of outfit when they debuted.

I have a feeling this will become a series! Please don't say it's the end of the world if there is an "N" in the name.
