KYOSHO 64 Collection Vol. 02", a new miniature car collection to be started at convenience stores, will be released on June 8, 2023 (Thursday)!

Kyosho, a manufacturer and seller of hobby products such as full-scale R/C (radio-controlled) models and miniature cars, will begin selling the second volume of the Kyosho CVS miniature car series "KYOSHO 64 Collection" in August 2022, following the KYOSHO MINI CAR & BOOK. The follow-up, Vol. 02, will go on sale at select FamilyMart stores (and Kyosho's online site for some models) on June 8, 2023 (Thu).

1/64 Scale Series Makes Minicars More Accessible through Convenience Store Sales

The "KYOSHO 64 Collection" is a new CVS minicar series that will release models that Kyosho's minicar development team considers "interesting" and "desired. This series is all newly molded and priced at a reasonable 1,540 yen (including tax) for a full-scale miniature car. This series is recommended not only for owners who want to reminisce about the cars they admired back then, but also for beginners who want to start their own miniature car collection.

The new CVS minicar lineup is attractive for its wide range of models and affordable price!

The "KYOSHO 64 Collection" is the long-awaited stand-alone model of the new CVS miniature car series, which is accessible to a wide range of people and will play a role in expanding the base of miniature car enthusiasts.

Compared to the previous 1/64 series, of which the "KYOSHO MINI CAR & BOOK" took over the baton, the new series, which is positioned as an entry model, is characterized by its unconstrained nature. Simply put, the new series will release not only famous cars that have colored the history of automobiles in Japan and abroad, but also rare models that have not been commercialized by other companies, as well as models that the development team finds "interesting" and "desirable.

The second model is a "Nissan" model. The lineup consists of four models: Fairlady Z, Be-1, 180SX, and Silvia, each in two colors. This is in addition to the special color FAIRLADY Z Red available only on KYOSHO WEB, making a total of 9 cars in the Vol. 2 lineup.

The complete lineup is introduced below!

No.10 ,11 NISSAN FAIRLADY Z

Inheriting the traditional long nose and short deck of the FAIRLADY Z, the FAIRLADY Z was an epoch-making car that went head-to-head with European sports cars with its outstanding aerodynamic performance and the strongest V6 engine ever produced in a Japanese car. In 1986, the car underwent a minor change and was redesigned from a straight line to a more glamorous design.

No.12, 13 NISSAN Be-1

The Be-1 was a small production compact car that pioneered the "pike car" genre by combining the body of the first-generation March with a new but nostalgic "nostalgic modern" body. The car's cute looks drew a flood of orders immediately after its launch, and it won the Good Design Award in 1987.

No. 14, 15 NISSAN 180SX

A middle-class FR sports car tailored for the Japanese market from the North American version of the 5th generation Silvia. The style differs from the Silvia with retractable headlights and a 3-door hatchback coupe, but the basic structure, including the engine, transmission, and suspension, is inherited from the Silvia. The engine was turbocharged only, and the car was tailored to have a sportier character.

No.16, 17 NISSAN SILVIA

This famous car dominated the 1980s, creating an era in the 2-door specialty car genre. The simple and clean styling, as well as the fact that it was a rare RWD car in the middle class, made it popular among a wide range of customers, from dress-up enthusiasts to sports enthusiasts. The K's/Q's/J's grade names, which were taken from playing cards, were also full of playful spirit.

Sold in the same POP-BOX as past CVS minicar series, but instead of a blind box with no visible contents, it is an open package where you can be sure to get the car model you want.
