An advance screening of the TV anime "Girly Air Force," scheduled to air in January 2019, was held at United Cinemas Aqua City Odaiba on Saturday, January 5.

Girly Air Force" is a light novel (illustrated by Asagi Tohsaka) by Kouji Natsumi, published by Dengeki Bunko (published by KADOKAWA), which is known for its fighter plane action featuring beautiful girls and fighter planes in the sky. Set in a world where mankind is threatened by the mysterious flying object "Zai," the boy-meets-girl story begins when a high school boy, Toshi Narutani, who has escaped from the Zai threat, meets a girl, Gripen, who is a pilot mechanism anima who controls a fighter called Daughter, which is the trump card of mankind. Animation production will be handled by "Satellite," which has produced the "Macross△" and "Symphogear" series.

Based on the novel "Girly Air Force" by Natsumi Kouji, "Girly Air Force" is apopular series ofentertainment novelspublished byDengeki Bunko with nine volumes to date.The illustrations on the cover and inside the book are by Asagi Tohsaka.The story is titled"Bishojo x Fighter Story," and itis abouta group of girls who control air weapons developed to fight the mysterious flying object "ZAI," and a boy who wants to become a pilot.

At this advance screening, the first and second episodes of the anime were shown. Before the screening,Ryota Osaka, who plays themain cast memberKeiNarutani, and Yuka Morishima, who plays Gripen, appeared on stage and talked about their feelings toward the broadcast.

Morishima also participated in the voice-over unit "Run Girls, Run!will perform the opening theme "Break the Blue! Members Nanami Atsugi and Koko Hayashi also appeared on stage to cheers from the audience.
