Railway Empire 2" is the latest installment of "Railway Empire," a railroad management simulation in which players take on the role of a railroad company owner in 19th-century North America and Europe and strive for wealth and prestige.

Players run 60 real-life steam locomotives to expand their business and build their ideal railroad empire. In-game text and voices are available in Japanese. Even if this is your first time playing this game, you can enjoy starting with a friendly tutorial.

Improvements have been made to make the operation more intuitive and enjoyable than in previous titles.

Railroad Empire" is a railroad management simulation released on January 28, 2018. In Japan, Ubisoft released the Japanese localized audio version on May 24, 2018, and transferred the license to Calypso Media Japan in January 2022; in July 2022, "Railway Empire Complete Collection" (PS4/ (PS4/Switch), which includes all DLC. Set in the frontier days of America, the game is a full-fledged management game in which players build a railroad network and develop their region and company. The developer, Gaming Minds Studio, is an affiliate of Calypso Media and specializes in medieval SLG games such as "Port Royal 4" and "Grand Age Medieval".
