Three consecutive anniversary exhibitions of Sunrise brand works, "VOTOMS," "DUNBINE," and "Cowboy Bebop," will be held! Ticket sales start today!

Three commemorative exhibitions will be held for "Armored Trooper Votoms," "Saint Dunbine," and "Cowboy Bebop," three Sunrise brand works by Namco Bandai Filmworks that will celebrate their anniversary in 2023.

First "Armored Trooper Votoms" 40th Anniversary Exhibition

As the first part of the "Sunrise Anniversary Tours in Shibuya," an exhibition of "Armored Trooper Votoms," which marks the 40th anniversary of the TV series, will be held.
The exhibition will look back on the 40-year history of the VOTOMS series, which has been developed through videos, novels, and games, with illustrations by Kunio Okawara and Norio Shioyama, as well as dioramas. Director Ryosuke Takahashi's next trailer-style narration introduces the exhibition, creating a sense of the realistic world of VOTOMS. The history of the Astragius Galaxy is now gathered here!
The examples of works on display were created with the full cooperation of Hobby Japan, with the participation of writers who are active on the front lines. Original reproductions of paintings by Kunio Okawara and Norio Shioyama and original goods will be on sale at the venue. Resin kits by amateur dealers will also be on sale.

About "Armored Trooper Votoms
This year marks the 40th anniversary of "Armored Trooper Votoms," a TV series created in 1983 by Ryosuke Takahashi, the original writer and director, and produced by Sunrise.
Set at the end of the Hundred Years War, which divided the Astragian Galaxy in two, it was created as a TV animation series in 1983, featuring Chirico Cubby, an xenomorph with a one-in-two million chance of occurrence.
The humanoid weapons called armored troopers (AT) were treated as disposable mass-produced machines, and unlike previous robot series, no main character appeared in the series.

After its broadcast, the series continued to be developed in various media, including OVA, novels, and manga.

About "Saint Dunbine
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the 1983 TV series by director Yoshiyuki Tomino and production company Sunrise. It is a unique robot animation set in an alternate world in the style of heroic fantasy, which was fresh at the time. After the TV series was broadcast, derivative works depicting the story of "Byston Well" became Yoshiyuki Tomino's life's work. What is "Cowboy Bebop"?
