This month we feature Qualia! We will introduce you to "Election Cats" and "Busywork" gachas to pass the time! Wacky Kaizan's latest gacha exploration No. 77

Following on from the previous issue, this time we are again planning a project to hook up with a manufacturer! Here is " Qualia," which means "uniquely you" in Latin. The atmosphere of their capsule toys also reflects their unique "character.

Launched in 2016 by Yuya Ogawa, a former sales representative for Kitan Club, Qualia uploads videos to its official YouTube page at the rather high pace of three a week. Mr. Shiromegane and President Charla are the two people who communicate the charm of capsule toys. The two characters, with their "character" in full bloom, are one of the factors that have contributed to the company's popularity.

The company's flagship product, "Neko no Penoki," which sold a total of 2.5 million units, continues to be released as a related product, and Qualia's signature cat figures are still a staple! This time, we would like to introduce two new cat items, one of such ironclad items and the other a problematic work that seems to pose a new challenge to us capsule toy fans.

Election Cat Mascot Figure: 6 kinds, 400 yen

There are rumors of a dissolution of the House of Representatives and a general election, and in anticipation of this, we are pleased to announce the release of two new mascot figures. Here are cats that are lovable, honest, and full of fighting spirit. They are making serious promises, but the naming of political parties and candidates is quite witty.

What if there were elections in the cat world? The lineup is like a great comedy answer to the question, "What if there were elections in the cat world?

Let's take a peek at the heated election battle among the candidates.

Sabasuke Canuta of the "straight ahead" party

He is holding up his left hand with a microphone in one hand, wearing a bright red tusk and a bright red hachimaki (headband). The seriousness in his eyes conveys the seriousness of the situation. The tasuki is also very dynamic and looks good. The name of the political party is also drawn precisely. From the name, I have a feeling that Mr. Hiroshi Neko might come to support the candidate, but at any rate, the election campaign has started.

Let's get fired up! I can almost hear the shouts of "Yay-o" from the crowd.

Koji Sageno, Cat with a Small Coin Party

From the commoner's look of a tortoiseshell cat, Mr. Sageno seems to be a candidate who has been accumulating experience. Here, too, he holds a microphone in his right hand and his left hand high in the air. He seems to be cheerfully shouting the battle cry of his candidacy. Like Mr. Cananda, his tail is outstretched to the ground, and his sincerity can be felt. His orange tasuki and hachimaki are the color of passion. Perhaps a bright future is in sight beyond his gaze. Be careful, however, as the name of the party has a slight scent of money!

Litchi Production Party - Daigo Yaga

He has been a farmer for more than 10 years. Now, I am challenging for national politics!" You can imagine the tone of this candidate, Daigo Hachiga. He is a Hachihare, and his seriousness oozes out of his forehead, which is split into 7 thirds, and his black-rimmed glasses. He holds several microphones from news stations in a bundle, as if he were holding a scene from a speech he gave on the street. The blue tasuki and yellow letters are eye-catching. Is she making an impassioned speech about her campaign pledges, focusing mainly on the topic of "habtatsuki" (a Japanese stickleback)?

Party for Happiness

What a divine name for a political party and candidate. Is she a candidate from the world of cat beckoning to bring in customers? The pure white, immaculate appearance of the candidate gives off an indescribable aura. After a few minutes of silent gazing,......, I find myself in a state of nothingness that is hard to describe,....... I was captivated before I knew it.

Katsubetsu Party Chatora Kotaro

With a gut-punch, "I will sprinkle a bright future! The pledge of "We will sprinkle a bright future! I can't help but grin at the pose, which could be used as an election poster, but what does "sprinkle the future? I am sorry to say that I am tempted to ask, "What the heck is that supposed to mean? But I am sorry to say that I am tempted to make a comment like, "What are you talking about?" The seriousness of his eyes leaves no room for such a wild comment. The power that surges from his gut-posing fist is proof of his persuasive power. Is he sure to win? Kotaro will continue to fight.

Cat Covering Party - Makoto Kurokoneko

The name of the party is just bad! This smells fishy! The "Nekkoburi" party is not really a party at all, is it? At a glance, it looks like they are going to make things black and white, but the scary thing about elections is that you never know what will happen. Please do your best to win the election and leave no regrets.

What did you think of the six candidate cats? Like "Neko no Penoki" and others, the overall impression is rounded and cute. I wish these cats were actually placed in the offices of the candidates! It's a tough election, and I hope you will receive healing from these election cats.

Busywork Squeeze Mascot: 6 kinds, 300 yen

This is a capsule toy that surprised me, not unlike Qualia's ......, and I mean that in a good way. I'd love to hear the secret development story by the designer, Michiru-san!

I personally love "de-ochi" gacha, and I'm a big fan of this kind of thing. Because it's just the word "Busy" printed on it. Hiragana and katakana characters can't bring out this level of silliness (in a good way, that is).

Moreover, there are six kinds of characters in the lineup. Normally, you would think that they would include a variety of characters such as "time," "empty can," "face," "pimple," etc., but there are only 6 types of "free time! It's a very gutsy thing to do! I guess this is what makes me unique.

Anyway, as it turned out, the word "Busy" was probably the best and simplest. But you can't imagine what the lineup looks like. I am also worried about being able to review it properly.

Gothic (black)

Oh, oh, oh! I didn't expect them to go for a font & color! I can't wait to see how the font and color will look on a printed squeezefill.

Gothic (blue) and Gothic (yellow)

Less impactful than black, so you can easily crush it. What is it? It's .......

Mincho (green) and (pink)

A green font that is easy on the eyes, and a pink Mincho font that is so cute you'll say, "This is so cute! It's a wonder that they look like stylish goods. It's so cute!

Mincho font (monochrome)

I removed the edges! And it's in black and white! When you see it so clearly, even from a distance, you can tell that I'm killing time. ......? Am I the only one who feels that taking it out all the way and fidgeting with "free time" is no longer "killing time"? I believe that the value of this capsule toy is created when you just "pass the time" silently and mindlessly.

From Qualia, who entertains us with their quirky ideas every time, we picked up two items this time. Mr. Ogawa has repeatedly said that he makes "very little money" on YouTube. However, we cannot help but be impressed by his attitude in pursuit of his own unique mess, even without regard to profitability.

Please keep up the exciting lineup!
