Set in the Middle Ages in the Orient, "Yakuya no Hitorigoto" (original story by Natsu Hyuga / Hero Bunko) is a mystery-solving entertainment in which a "poison tester" solves various difficult cases that occur in the court. The series has sold more than 21 million copies in total, and the comic version is also expanding its popularity.

<Story
There is a large country located in the center of the continent. There is a daughter in the imperial court, where the emperor's queens reside.
Her name is Mao Mao.
She used to work as an apothecary in the flower district, but is now working as a servant in the imperial palace.
One day, she learns that all of the emperor's sons are short-lived.
When Nekoneko hears that the two current sons are also gradually weakening due to illness, he becomes curious and begins to investigate the cause. She is convinced that there is no such thing as a curse.
A beautiful eunuch, Jin Shi, buys Neko Neko's ability and appoints her as the poisoner for the emperor's favorite daughter.
The story follows the rumors and incidents in the back palace that involve the apothecary, who grew up in the flower district and has no interest in humans, but has an unusual obsession with poisons and medicines.
