Live performance prior to recording! Stage Report of "Bokutachi wa Shingaku ga Dekinai" (We Can't Study) Stage at JUMP FESTA 19, where expectations are high for the anime broadcast.
The highly anticipated new JUMP anime "Bokutachi wa Gakkou ga Dekinai" (We Can't Study) held a super stage at JUMP FESTA 19 at Makuhari Messe on December 23, 2018, where all the latest information was unveiled.
Bokutachi ga Shugaku ga Dekinai" is a school love comedy written by Taishi Tsutsui and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha).
In order to obtain a recommendation to be exempted from university tuition fees, the main character, TADAGA Naruyuki, a senior in high school, takes on the role of a teacher who helps his classmates who are struggling to study for the entrance examinations. However, the students he teaches are the most beautiful genius girls in the school, who were thought to be flawless, but their weakest subjects are completely clumsy! The film depicts the slapstick love story between the struggling high school boy who takes on the role of teacher and the heroines who are working hard to achieve their dreams.
This is a popular work that is making the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine very popular. The audience was packed to hear the news of the anime adaptation at the earliest possible opportunity.
On stage were Ryota Aisaka, who plays Naruyuki Taduga, Haruka Shiraishi, who plays Fumino Furuhashi, and Sayumi Suzushiro, who plays Uruka Takemoto.
First, a greeting by video message from Miyu Tomita, who plays Risyu Ogata, was shown.
After the greetings by the main cast members, a major announcement was made! It was announced that Ms. Shiraishi, Ms. Tomita, and Ms. Suzushiro would be forming a music unit. What kind of music will they sing?
Additional cast members were also announced.
The roles of Asumi Kominami and Mafuyu Kirisu will be played by Maruka Asahina and Lynn, respectively. Lynn made a surprise appearance on stage, much to the excitement of the audience.
Here, a special corner titled "Talk about 'x' by Tsutomu Boku" started. In this corner, the participants talked about the fun and appeal of this work, and Ms. Shiraishi commented on the harem-like situation of Naruyuki, saying, "I wish I could study in such an environment! I wanted to study in such an environment!
The audience was also told that the recording had not yet started, but before that, they were asked to attest to a scene from the original work. All the performers were nervous as they were acting the voices of the characters on stage for the first time, but their performances all made the audience look forward to the anime broadcast.
At the end of the stage, a video was shown for the first time, and the key visual was also unveiled for the first time, announcing that the anime will begin airing in April 2019. Lynn also read a message from the original author, Taishi Tsutsui, on behalf of the audience. A newly drawn illustration of midwinter was also shown.
