The main character, Ayato Oda, a "demon exorcist" belonging to the Public Safety Bureau under the direct supervision of the Cabinet Office, is assigned to "investigate and destroy the 'Spell: Unholy Red Frown Mask' brought into Murakumo Academy".

He and two other girls acting as a team, Hime Tsukitachibana, a reliable sidekick maid who swears allegiance to the Lord, and Ruri Shinonome, an insane and natural special killer girl, create a "blade path" and blend in as ordinary students in the community of the "Pentagonal Self-Defense Society" which has strong connections to the financial and political worlds. They work together to investigate the case.

After several months of investigation, they discover that "Marika Kazamine," the daughter of a senior executive of the "Sword Swordsmen's Association," is in possession of a "cursed object.

She orders a special anti-yo specialized sword, "ORIGAMI Yatagarasu" from the headquarters and sets out to exterminate it, but when she touches the "cursed object", the "monster" that was hidden in the "cursed object" takes over her.

Ayato's "Yatagarasu" destroys the "cursed object" with a single blow, and succeeds in rescuing Marika.
However, a part of the demon remains inside her, and she becomes a singularity that causes a psychic disaster.

The environment surrounding Ayami and his friends changes drastically, and while they ostensibly continue to live a peaceful school life, they become master and apprentice for a limited time, teaching Marika the art of fighting spiritual disasters.
