Jujutsu Kaisen" is serialized in "Shukan Shonen Jump" by Akutomi Geshita. It will be adapted into a TV anime in October 2020, and will be called "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie". <Synopsis> "Let's go home, Riko-chan.
Natsuyui reaches out her hand to Amanouchi, but then the worst happens. As Natsuyui stands there in a daze, Fushikuro Jinnji appears before her. Jinnji tells Natsuyori, "Gojo Satoru is the one I killed. Natsuyori, enraged, summons the spirit of the curse, and attacks Jinnji.

In this interview, Takehito Koyasu, who plays the role of Jinnji Fushiguro, gives an official interview.

─ ─ What was your impression when you read the original story and scenario of "Kaiyoku Tamenori"?
I was aware of the great popularity of the original work, and I thought it was a great honor to have a connection between the popular character Gojo Satoru and Fushikuro Jinnji, whom I play. The main story is about the past of Gojo Satoru and Natsuyasu Suguru during their high school days, and I feel that I was entrusted with an important role because I can understand how Gojo became the most powerful sorcerer in the world.

─ ─ What is your impression of the character you are playing and how did you feel about playing him?
I thought he was portrayed as a professional magician-killer, a professional pimp, and a scumbag. However, it was very difficult to play him. ...... I understand that people who don't know the original work also watch the anime. Whether it is better to act the character knowing the ending or not, or whether it would be better if the image of the character after building up one by one is like the original is a decision that the animation staff, including the director, who oversees the entire production, make after careful consideration. I had read the original story, so I had a preconceived notion of how I could express his inner life and human side, but I felt that in the anime they wanted to show more of his professional side."

─ That seems to be a very difficult balance to achieve.
I think it's very difficult to find a good balance between the two. I think the most important point is that it is not a story about Fushiguro Jinji. I am an actor, so I tend to focus on the character I am given, and I am tempted to delve deeper into that part of the story. However, I must not make the mistake of thinking that way, and I have to perform with an eye on the overall balance. So I hope that you will see how Jinji comes out against these two characters.

─ ─ What are the highlights of "Kaitama and Tamaori"?
The original cutaway is super cool. It's like the original without the animation. Animation is about filling in the gaps, but this time, I have used more ingenuity in the camera work and layout, as well as in the way the animation is drawn and staged. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product.

─ ─ Do you have a message for the viewers?
I think this is the story that everyone has been waiting for, and if you found the second season interesting, you can continue watching "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie" and the first season. I hope you will watch it to see how "Kaitama, Tamaori" ends up."

Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga series by Akutomi Shimoji, serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Shonen Jump" magazine.
The series, which began serialization in March 2018, depicts the struggle between a curse born from negative human emotions and a sorcerer who exorcises it through sorcery.

The first season of the TV anime was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021 on the Mainichi Broadcasting System and TBS, and it was a huge hit not only in Japan but also around the world. On December 24 of the same year, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie," a prequel to the first season, was screened, creating a huge worldwide movement.

The second season, which is scheduled to air in 2023, will depict the story of Gojo Satoru and Natsuyui Suguru during their high school days in "Kaitama, Tamaori. The past of Gojo and Natsuyui's breakup, which was hinted at in the movie version, will finally be revealed.
