BANDAI OFFICIAL TOY SHOP has started accepting reservations for " Digital Monster COLOR (Original Clear/Ver.2 Original Smoke)" (each 6,930 yen including tax, shipping and handling fee not included).

The event was announced on June 26, 2023, the 26th anniversary of the birth of Digital Monster, and was held on Digimon Web, the official comprehensive Digimon website. The "Digital Monster COLOR" and "Digital Monster Ver.2" LCD toys were renewed with color LCDs. Fans voted for the color of the "Digital Monster COLOR Ver.2" to be commercialized in the "Everybody Vote for COLOR Project! The two body colors that received the highest number of votes in the "Digital Monster COLOR" and "Digital Monster COLOR Ver. 2" will be released.

The two body colors are the original clear from "Digital Monster" and the original smoke from "Digital Monster Ver.2".
All colors will be reissued for the first time. The "Digital Monster" is the "Original Clear" color, which was based on the color of the "Digital Monster" that was sold overseas but not released in Japan, and the "Digital Monster Ver. 2" is the nostalgic "Original Smoke," which was a new color in Japan at the time of its release.

As with the already released "Digital Monster COLOR" and "Digital Monster COLOR Ver.2," the appearance of the main unit was designed based on the shape of the original version released in 1997, and the color LCD and built-in rechargeable battery were realized without sacrificing size.
The LCD also continues to be equipped with a color LCD. In addition to the color characters, the background design, which could not be changed at the time, can now be changed.

It is also possible to obtain new background images through the communication function with different versions, including the previously released "Digital Monster COLOR Ver. 3," "Digital Monster COLOR Ver. 4," and "Digital Monster COLOR Ver. 5.
In addition, the rechargeable battery built into the device allows the user to play by recharging the battery with the included recharging cable. The charging cable is compatible with USB Type-C.

The Digimon that appear in the game are based on the lineup that existed at the time of the 1997 release, and are divided into different versions.
Digital Monster COLOR" contains a total of 18 Digimons, including Agumon, Tyrannomon, and Metalgreymon, while "Digital Monster COLOR Ver. 2" contains 18 Digimons, including Gabumon, Garurumon, and Skullgreymon.
All fully-formed Digimon can evolve to the ultimate form, and Monzaemon and Vedamon, which did not evolve to the ultimate form in the first Digital Monster, evolve to the ultimate form, Shinmonzaemon and Evamon, in this product.
Digimon that combine through communication with different versions also appear.

Digital Monster COLOR" & "Digital Monster COLOR Ver.2

While recreating the nostalgic presentation of training and battles, each version includes the training function that appeared in the 1997 versions of "Digital Monster" and "Digital Monster Ver. 2". A battle mode that can be played alone without communication is also included.
This product also has enhanced user support functions, and the speed of training has been increased compared to the 1997 version.
It also features a cold mode, in which growth is stopped and tummy and muscle strength are not reduced while the player is cold, and a backup system that allows the user to save up to one Digimon in training as a backup.
